I've seen some other reviews of the Arc, and yours help clear up the cutters issue. Thanks, and enjoy.

I think what was happening was the Arc cutters wouldn't cut completely through the wire because of the gap in the corner of the cutters, which means that someone could bend the wire up and down while it was still held in the cutters by the portion of the wire that wasn't cut. This would apply a high bending load to the cutters that they weren't designed to take, and they would then split and crack...

This was a neat experiment. I honestly thought the Surge would have blown them all out of the water, just based on the size (more leverage) and the fact that the handles are rounded and more comfortable. But the Arc seemed like it was more effective for this task! And that SOG was even more impressive! Have a great Sunday, buddy!

There appears to be a small hairline crack in the Arc's cutters on the USA stamp side of the plier head after the first cut. Might just be a scratch but it looks like a fine crack

All great tools of course.. SOG cut appears as advantageous over others hands down, but are the other gadgets included as compared to others as good?
Still waiting for a Roberts driver..

I’m glad I didn’t jump all over it like everyone else for the magnacut blade. I’ll keep the magnacut on my knives alone until this issue is addressed if it’s addressed. Thank JJ. It’s beeen a while since I’ve been here. Wishing you continued peace positivity prosperity and progression 😊

It seems to me that the more ductile the material, the worse the performance would be. What if you tried some copper solid core and stranded wire? I'd bet good money that cutting stranded wire would be a total fail.

Cool comparison. I think you did a great job addressing the issue. I was, however, curious to know whether or not Little Jerry had anything to say about it...

It’s remarkable that the SOG tool did the best and doesn’t leave you with a rough edge that you have to file down, but the compound leverage means that you have to open SOG pliers ridiculously wide when using the pliers to do anything else (ie. tightening, loosening, prying etc.). A long time ago Tim Leatherman used to bring his multitool to trade shows and stand on it to cut nails, fast forward many years and now we have 100 videos on whether the most expensive multitool ever sold (not limited edition) can still do it, how times change🤔.

All I care it cuts is at least bailing wire and normal electrical wires. All those complaining about hanger wire what the heck. At that point use some proper dikes. Thanks for your review.
