Great tutorial. I’m about it to do a HW1080 myself.
Why do I have to tin my wires? Do I have to fill up the cup when a connector is only half a circle where you solder the wire to the connector? I’m new to soldering.
Odd to see a pure solder joint with no crimping. These joints ever heat up and melt out the solder?

Hi, anyone know what gauge of wire is best to power a F405 WING FC? The leads from my ESC are maybe 18GA, while the Lipo is like 10GA so I bought some 12GA pigtails that are really beefy... prob. better than only 18 or 24GA, yes?
What wattage is that gun?
Do they make clear shrink wrap tubing?
