The only time you’ll see the replay if VAR does see a wrong call and will call the referee to take a second look. Otherwise, they silently look at it and if the right call was made, they’ll leave the game move on.

It wasn't Gabriel's mistake in any way, if anything it was Raya's mistake to come out this far out, and then Gabriel makes the pass but the receiving player failed to control the ball, that cannot be blamed on Gabriel.

Alas, the Saka/Neuer incident was not a clear cut penalty. Yes, Neuer was reaching out with his left leg. However, he was fairly static. Saka's right leg curls aroumd to make sure that it hits Neuer's outstretched leg. So, the question is, who initiates the contact? Is it Neuer with an outstretched leg? Or, is it Saka running into Neuer and making sure that there was contact? I think that it is the latter, and some think the former. As it is NOT clear, the ref should not give iit.
Pity, as a converted penalty would have won it for the Gunners.
As for Gabriel Magalhães picking up the ball: a definite penalty for me. However, Law 18 is about the "spirit of the game" gives the ref the option NOT to implement any ofnthenother laws if they are not within this spirit.

Neuer keeps his movement towards Saka.. like ffs did you watch the clip?? ofc it's a clear pen, doesn't matter if Saka let his foot hang (which is not what happened btw) because 1 Neuer doesn't get the ball not even close, 2 Neuer clearly intercepts and then blocks Saka path with that movement which was still ongoing until they collided, i shouldn't have to tell you this but it's not the attackers job to get away from a tackle, it's the defenders job to get the ball and not to hit the Attacker, so just because Saka doesn't make a superman dive jump not to get hit doesn't mean that Neuer's challenge ain't unlawfull which it is..

the attacker doesn't have to go out of his way to avoid but at the same time should not go out of his way to initiate collision. its very basic. saka tried to be cute and buy the penalty and it backfired. he does it a lot. elliot did the same thing vs utd and got away with it.

As an Arsenal fan, I think it was a great game. The ref could have done better, but both teams benefited from some of his bad decision.

Hopefully this is an experience we can learn from and we don’t make the same mistakes next time, I think we went into this totally blind and didn’t really know how to play against Bayern at all. I can understand the penalty not being given for Saka. We wasted a big advantage but winning these matches isn’t supposed to be easy, everyone said we’d get battered but we held on.
