- What a crazy experience from the Radical ZigZag I thought this ball would be a clear step down from the Katana Series boy was I wrong. It definitely isn't the same ball were I see this ball differ is in the mid-lane it is pinch cleaner where the Katana Assault picks up a little faster. Looking for a little zig and zag down lane don't over look this one.

I just wish more companies had demos where people could try the different balls. Its tough dropping 250 dollars on a ball/drill just to find out it doesnt work lol.
It’s a expense that doesn’t guarantee sales. It gives bowlers an experience. Some areas do more demos than others. Most of the big cities get more demos. But just have to pressure your Proshop operators to pressure the ball company reps.
@@TheHype-Bowling oh I understand it. The whole market just reminds me of buying shoes without trying them on or buying a car or something from a magazine. There has to be some middle ground that could be standardized. Especially if prices keep going up
@stompingpeak2043 I assume you bowl league. Do you have any friends with similar style/release/grip? Doesn't hurt to ask to throw a ball during practice or after 3rd game. It might not be a perfect fit but you can get a general idea. We do it all the time. But a lot of people treat their bowling balls like underwear, they don't like other peoples stuff inside.

@@stompingpeak2043 bummer. If you live in an area where bowling is popular, new balls have decent resale. Drop $250, bowl a month, if junk... throw it on CL for $200. 50 lost better than 250. And them young 2 handers will buy up anything new and shiny at a discount. 👍
I put this one, Violent Collision, Theorom, Ethos, and the High Speed on my xmas list.. I have a feeling I'm getting this one (daughter picks and guessing she'll like these colors). I think this one deserves a better look when you're on your A game
the front to back hook is more easily referred to as "hook window" that you hear pros talk about... trying to move that window forward toward you with dull finishes or farther away with compound or weaker covers. I really like the look of this ball and think it would fit great in between something like the Innovator solid as a benchmark, transition to this ball by 2nd game and maybe a 3rd ball into a Bigfoot hybrid or pearl when burn comes into play. Love the Radical line, they really are consistently good and even better values than most brands.
The Zig Zag is a different kinda ball that plays well for players that want to stay with a smooth approach playing thru the middle getting some late back end flip when moving left with the feet. Mike is drilled keeping the VAL down giving me great control and response, paired with the Big Time SE and Assualt.
I definitely like symmetric balls better. My favorite currently is my GB4 hybrid. Radical does make a lot of ez use line balls that are definitely bang for the buck and great for league. Thanks for sharing this video and for your recent videos. I could definitely decide on a new purchase with the information you shared.

In a tournament roll what fits the conditions best.

Charles I know it’s a month ago but gots to ask you if you had to chose between the ZigZag or Violent Collision, I’ve watch both videos for 30 times each and compared is crazy. I have 16-17 off hand stand 22-25 or 30, 1st game ball katana assault ? 2/3 game I would go to rattler or deadly rattler . TY for your answer. Also, Deadly Rattler and Fireball look really good. They seem like comparable balls, but Deadly Rattler is more expensive... was wondering if I should just go with the cheaper Fireball 🤔
There's no sense in paying more for a ball if all your shooting is house shots. You can get a hustle and be fine
I feel like they are in a comparable range. I do. Feel like the Fireball is a little bit more ball downlane. The core is a couple more point stronger pushing the reaction down lane. But yeah that’s why the companies come out with balls so you can gravitate towards the brands that you like. If your a radical person go radical, if your a ebonite person go ebonite if your roto grip person go roto.
If you haven’t purchased yet, give the DV8 Caltiv8 a look, it’s a great ball for light to dry lanes and stores some great energy before hitting the pocket
