Seriously the fact we never got a Pokken Tournament 2 is so disappointing. Imagine Incineroar and Greninja in this game as playable characters.

As cool as those pokemon would be, I'd love to see more unconventional 'mons in a Pokken sequel. Imagine getting to play as more obscure pokemon like Beedrill, Hitmonchan, or Spidops.

The roster was ass, one of it's biggest faults. We did not need Chandelure, Suicine, Pikachu Libre, and Braixen. They were trying too hard to be unorthodox with their roster. I get just choosing fighting types would be boring but an inanimate object and a dog made for awful fighters. As for Braixen, honestly all of the fighters should've been fully evolved. Including Pikachu, I mean this wasn't targeted for the standard/general Pokémon audience so it wasn't gonna kill them to not feature Pikachu as a fighter.
@@cmpork7145you are such a coward. Unorthodox Pokémon are half the fun, not every Pokémon has to be a humanoid to be a cool fighting game character.

Honestly, pokken is really fun to play as a casual.
I remember that I completed all of the story mode in one week during the free full trial on switch and I really enjoy that journey along side Blaziken 😊.

Fun fact, Suicune, and the rest of the legendary "dogs" were actually all based on felines! Raikou is obvious considering the saber teeth, Entei is based on a lion, and Suicune is based on various jungle cats like leopards and panthers!
Pokken is such a fun game, its a shame it never took off. It was a blast to play and the LCQ at worlds for it was hilarious.

My most common question when people ask that question is literally “when?” A little known fact is that the Cell Juniors canonically survived the Android Saga and if they fought Freeza now they’d just die. But if their power levels are in their first appearances… then a single Cell Junior would absolutely destroy even Final Form Freeza. The Super Saiyan transformation was a never before seen myth back in the Namek Saga but the standard had gone WAY up by that point in the Android Saga. Cause that’s how Dragon Ball works: The reoccurring characters constantly become stronger than they could’ve dreamed.
Back in me days I was a Chandelure main, and I knew how to do the Hex combo, yes fellows there's Hex in the Chandelure movekit
Which no one seem to talk about, so the main thing with him is that he applies 2 debuffs
His forward A in the side phase apply Defense Debuff
His fireballs in both phases apply attack debuff
After you give the enemy 2 debuffs, in the side phase
You can hold back+A (Maybe there was a corner circle backwards in there) and it will do a grab, that's Hex, and just like in the game it does a lot of damage if they are debuffed, and does some damage if not.
Man that was such a cool detail, I loved playing with my favorite Mon.

I think this game was single-handedly the reason why i started walking the path of the all-rounder. The way Lucario felt back then was the first time in a fighting game where someone really clicked with me, and he still feels good to this day. Maybe one day we'll get a new game...

Actually, Electrode is a counterattack, it only works if you’re being attacked
2:50 actually, there are perfect parry’s in the game! As aegislash if you press forward and shield at the same time he does a parry! If you hit the parry he can convert into a combo!

I def need to pick up Pokken soon, ive seen many cool clips of some of the characters (mainly Aegislash, one of my favorite mons), and have been interested in it for a while, but still haven’t picked it up yet for some reason

I actually happened to find a copy of this game for $20 at a local game store recently so I got it and the dlc, been grinding out the story and skills and just having a blast
fun fact if you do the finisher and or synergy ultimate frames after the enemy does it will counter act is and yours will win

Yeah they're all cats: Raikou-saber tooth Tiger, Entei-lion, and Suicune-Jaguar/leopard
Fun fact: you can’t block gengar’s, mewtwo’s, or empoleon’s Burst attacks
Fun fact 2: in burst mode you have armor against regular projectiles, that’s why mewtwo lost

Gardevoir is my second favorite Pokémon. I raised one in the original Ruby from a level 3 Ralts to a Gardevoir. I didn’t even know what rule 34 was at the time.

I know it's not quite a sequel, but there's another Pokemon fighting game called Pokemon Close Combat which is only fighting type Pokemon and it's very fun and I highly recommend it.
Sometime next month they're adding two more characters too.
