I tried to listen to this song and You Matter to Me after seeing it on Broadway (I saw it a few weeks ago without knowing many of tue songs), and I honestly couldn't because I just got chills and started crying like I did when I saw it live. Skia Kardia Basically the musical is about Jenna, the waitress who sung this song, who has an abusive husband and an unplanned pregnancy. In this number she was lamenting the person she used to be and how much she had forgotten herself because you know, life, but now she has a baby on the way and is trying to find herself again. Watch the musical! There's a copy here in youtube. It's really good and the songs are awesome :)
