      Same here. Everyone within 150 miles wants a Arm and a Leg for even Crap ones. It's because I live in a Tourist Trap location. Even a Barn Find Golf Cart like they made street legal goes for a couple of grand. But if they are buying from you, they Low Ball your ass and get Pissed when you say "No".

      CarsandCameras Where I live everyone seems to charge an arm and a leg, often for junk. I have seen good ones every once and a while, so I guess I just have to keep looking!

    you have a very unique kart this kart would have had 2 west bend 580 2 cycle on it I have only seen 2 of these karts over the years very worth restoring

    That's a Blackhawk Chief, built by Don Fairman, in the early 60's, in Brodhead WI. Don also built the Sugar River Raceway. Which is still in operation, run by Don's son Marshall, today.

    I got a go kart for 35 bucks and I fixed it with my grandpa and he taught me a lot like how engines work and how go karts work I learned a tun of stuff from him sadly he passed away and I miss him

    Love seeing these types of builds. Just waiting for a good one to pop up around the north Raleigh area so I can start my own build. I'm sure yall will put some larger tires on the rear to help with the gearing and sprocket clearance.

    So glad you guys are still at it with the killer builds and videos. I remember meeting yall in 2016 for the motor plex meet, I was the kid with his dad who brought my red kart. Sat around since then and finally got around to swapping the engine (tbh I was much younger and had no clue what I was doing and kinda fried it). Again, love the content it inspires me.. ✌

    I’ve learned a lot from y’all. I didn’t get a cheap one but I got a Colman go kart. And it has a torque converter on it. Learned that is a good thing from you guys. Keep up the good work!

    Chains don't "stretch", they wear and lengthen. So a pre-stretched chain is just a pre-worn chain...
    It's like buying new Jeans that already have holes in them.

    I can remember the days of those retro carts. Don’t feel bad John, I took one of those and ran it under my neighbors restored 70’s Ford 4x4. Left a huge paint streak under his truck when I hit the gas tank, and fortunately for me I didn’t get hurt. I’ve still got that old cart. I need to either get the engine going again, or put a 212 on it

    we just did a kart for my friends 5 yr old granddaughter who loves you guys, 4hp with jack shaft = top speed 4 mph and a VERY often used wheelie bar. Named tork monster. Helmet, and seat belt because it is the right way.

    On a go kart like that 15 feels pretty fast lol. Bigger tires or smaller sprocket lol. Throw a torque converter on it.

    I love your channel. I picked myself up a Manco Intruder II for $120 that took a hefty jump than bent the axle and broke the swing arm in a couple of places. It's otherwise in excellent condition. I'm slowly getting it back together, when I'm not working.

    Interesting tidbit: When installing the master link clip, whenever possible/practical, install the clip with the opened end trailing in the direction of the chain travel.

    Just got a $250 212 cc predator mini bike, worked when I was testing it out but I think I kept on it’s side for a while when I was in the car so I think it’s flooded now but who cares cuz I know when it starts it’s gonna be hella fun!

    We need an update video on the truck, it's looking great! Bigger rear tires on the cart, more ground clearance for the sprocket and it'll change the gear ratio so it should make it faster.

    Just got me a 212cc predator seeing them go fast on videos is so different then experiencing it yourself
    I went fast.. ruined one of my old tires but it was worth it
    Burn out on pavement an dirt an grassland

    You could take a wheel barrow bucket for seating cut the face off little tikes. Then mount the face to the front of the bucket. Last weld up a yellow roll cage.
    This will make it nice and comfortable. Also still look like a little tikes rat rod.

    I reckon pit bike is a good choice too they cheap and easy to use to learn that's how I started working on bikes and am now working on my first road bike

    that would make an epic Drift Kart, slightly taller tires on the rear to get some clearance for that big sprocket, or a jack shaft to keep that same ratio with that size tire, make an old school drifter out of it, or get ahold of ratherbwelding and see if he cant build y'all a 2 speed jackshaft like he put on a few of his karts, so you have the tall gear for pickup and torque then a smaller gear for top end anyways, pretty great vid guys

    OK On the Tot-Rod. I'd love to see tires that look like big fat wide suckers. Like you'd see on a T-Bucket or something. The tires you have are fine I suppose, but 70's hot-rod slicks would really add to the whole look of the thing.

    You can get a good one from the scrapyard for 50 dollars, I bought a racing frame with no rust and brakes worked fine it also had new slicks on it and I paid 30 dollars for it, it didn't have a motor though but I already had a 5hp brigs with a shaved head waiting for it.
