The Constitution is silent about how any political party chooses their candidate. "Primary" elections are not mentioned in the US Constitution; primaries are not required to choose a candidate under any federal law.
Maybe if she racked up some felony charges, that would make it "Totally" fine.

I'm a Florida resident and a registered Democrat. The state party didn't hold a closed, presidential primary election this year. I literally had no say in the candidate. But I'm more than happy the delegates and party leaders are making smart choices, and getting prepared to continue leading the country. It is not a "coup," it's party politics, rearranging the organizational chart. The administration of government is the real job and DT is clearly not up to the task. He is laying the groundwork for his future temper tantrum when staging his own coup.
A vote for Joe Biden was a vote for Kamala because she was his choice as a running mate. Kamala is Biden's VP, so if he becomes incapable of performing his duties, one of her roles as his VP is to take over the presidency so there was never a need for a state party Presidential primary election this year.

I don't mind conversation between them cause they seem to genuinely like each other, but again it's frustrating to see personalities rather than plans. I don't know what you think about past presidents but pretty much any previous campaign season had more substance.
I think there comes a point where you just accept that you're going to have to work on intuition when it comes to voting, what you personally predict from either party. I don't know, it just feels like I grew up thinking I didn't understand politics and it turns out there wasn't much nuance to understand when it came to the president. And I don't know if you're gonna be receptive to any of this but I'd like to see a less controversial (I'm saying this because while I don't really feel like Harris is quite as controversial as Trump, I do believe people genuinely feel that way) choice in our next election, but I doubt it will happen.

Her nomination may not be unconstitutional, but it was not democratic. One person endorsed her (Joe), some Dem leaders agreed publicly, then it was handed to her. Voters never voted her in. It was handed to her. It was elitist, not democratic.
She should easily lose then, so what’s the problem?

And they are slowly abandoning Trump and supporting Harris. Many Republicans are realizing backing Trump means the end of their careers. If the switch is „unlawful“, then some DA should start an indictment process! But I am sure that no law can be quoted. Rules are set within the party.
