Good to see you back!!! As a periodic reminder meant in the spirit of support, it’s no one’s damn business how much fabric you have and how much you spent on it. No explanation needed, just ignore the haters.
I'm sorry some critics criticized your fabric stash. I do not like people who criticize people's collections. As long as you're not on public assistance, you should be able to spend your money however you want. I'm fabric stash( which is many, many times larger than yours) has brought me joy. It's also my therapy. I can buy a lot of fabric for the cost of 1 therapy session. Sewing is also my therapy. There have been times in my life that I could not afford to purchase fabric if not for my stash, I would not have been able to sew. Do what brings you joy! And tell the others to take a flying leap! Thank you for your videos. Hope you have a speedy recovery. It is great to see you back making videos. ❤

The nasty comments must be awful to come across but re read the positive woman affirming one’s more!!! We all have our vices and sewing and fabric stash is one of the useful ones. ❤ your fabulous and looked stunning in your dress and your health is no joke. It floors us when it does go bonkers. Speedy healing thoughts, Rachel. I always love seeing your fabric choices! Eager to see the waterfall coat. The edges of the coat might be fun to enhance with a blanket stitch in a thicker decorative thread! Just a thought…

WELCOME BACK!!!! I can pretty much guess what type of surgery you had. I had it when I was 40. Yes, it will take some time to recover so be kind to yourself. Don't let "those people" make you feel guilty about your love of fabric and sewing. Many of us have a passion of some sort that involves acquiring goodies. IT'S ALL GOOD! I've always kept in mind that we're lucky that we can indulge our passion. We work, we acquire, we enjoy. Let's face it....there may come a time when we cannot add to our passion. So enjoy while we can! LIFE IS SHORT....BUY THE FABRIC!!!

Lovely to have you back Rachel. I’ve missed you. Hope you are soon back to feeling good following your surgery and your recovery is swift. I too need to go through my wardrobe and recycle some of my clothes, as I’ve made new ones and wardrobe room is getting tight. Problem is I tend to wear out clothes before I get rid of them, this can take many many years. 🤦🏻♀️😬🤣. I don’t know why people feel they need to criticise your fabric collection, I love seeing your purchases. It’s your choice and your money.😃.

I'm glad you are back. How dare 😤 people talk about yours or anyone else's circumstances surrounding buying fabric. That bugs me to no end. You keep doing you. I think you hit the point of too much, hence the destash. We all work differently. I have alot of fabric and my family n friends enable me. My gifts from them are always sewing related and many times fabric. My vice 😇 is fabric. No one should shame anyone as we all are different with different circumstances. Come on, sewing fam, if you come here to see n hear Rachel do so without judgment. And if you have judgement, please keep it to yourself. PS Rachel doesn't need anyone defending her, so my comments are my personal perspective.
Wishing you continued recovery, Rachel. I did wonder where you'd gone. I find it hard to believe that people try to impose their personal choices onto others. Don't let the bullies cause you to feel guilty. What you do with your money is no one's business. Love the new fabrics and plans. Your comment about buying fabric because you like the print colour, but not necessarily suitable for garments you want to make was just so on the button. I have a load of fabric some years old that fits your description. Take care.

Happy your back. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. Do take some time before you return to work…it can be so hard getting back to normal. No one has any business making any negative or judgmental remarks about your fabric stash. You work, you sew and buying fabric is no different than someone buying coffee mugs or jewelry. I find that I don’t buy many clothes…only fabric and I don’t buy much jewelry. It’s all about preference. Get well soon. ❤

Great to see you back Rachel! Ignore Mr/Mrs McJudgison, you do you. We all have choices. Some smoke, some gamble and others like me and you buy fabric which makes us happy. I keep telling myself that I’m keeping the economy going and supporting small business 😊
You may have been ill and feeling a bit rough, but you can sew, a great mental health exercise.
Try to avoid doing too much too soon. I know from experience that too much today means nearly a week of exhaustion. Easy to say, and after a couple of years of illness, I still don't take care all the time.

So lovely to see you back on a vlog. I hope you continue to heal and recover well. Try to set aside the unkind criticism/judgment about your fabric stash. You have lots of beautiful fabric and create beautiful garments. It’s your stash/choices about your creative outlet, not theirs. I don’t recall any video where you’ve asked anyone to take responsibility for storing your fabric.😂. My fabric stash is larger than yours😊 and while I plan to significantly destash it. I remind myself not to impose shame or judgment on myself or others.

I have just been recording my stash on Stash Hub as it was really overwhelming me and my ability to sew. It is actually very therapeutic and as you know you find things that you had forgotten about and actually you wonder why you bought them 🤷♀️ Also your style can change in a few years too!

I haven’t commented in an age, but I’m pleased to hear you’re on the mend Rachel. I’m scheduled for surgery at the end of Oct and from some of your comments it maybe of a similar nature as my recovery is also expected to be a similar length. Your fabrics are gorgeous but that’s a given 😊 and those plans for Layla ❤❤
