    That's... not why people called that CoL team "juggernaut"...
    They called them that because of Jason Lake's "lets build a juggernaut" tweet immediately after they bombed out of the Starladder major.
    The tweet became a copypasta and they got called that as a meme whenever they lost.
    It was absolutely not ever used as a compliment until they gelled and started winning several months later, namely at Blast Premier Spring 2020, and even then it was just memeing on the meme more than anything.

      @@jovan426Source? $2 mil for electriconic is crazy high, I know I seen $1 mil for electriconic and $500k for perfecto. I also very much doubt c9 would spend $2 mil on an igl who hadn't had any real major success.

    The current C9 is abolutely insane. I can't believe Jack was gullible enough to trust HenryG completely and invest so much money in middling players. He most likely learned a lot from that experience.

    Big organization $$$ ruined csgo. Before the game was big teams were more cohesive.. All friends from the same countries proud of their country.. Now every team is a mish mash of people from around the world in a single team sold to the highest bidder.. Resulting in poor gameplay and competitiveness.

      @@anrijsc1037 It's not. It creates stale and uninspiring content, when everyone is simply there to get a paycheck, regardless of outcome, they stop caring.
      We've seen this time and time again. And why should i as a viewer care if someone has a "NA" or "EU" tag, when they're just all over the place with their nationalities?
      It's a big joke. There's a reason why eSports has been declining and people are just tuning out. Sure the people involved still make a lot of money and gets moderate attention, but it's just a big money machine and that's about it.
      When profit is the number one goal, everything else suffers.

      @Kruemeleistee Před 10 měsíci +2

      Yeah C9 is an NA based org but their current team is based in europe (I think they're in serbia but I'm not sure). The players of the current team are all from russia (apart from Hobbit who's from Kazakhstan).
      The origin of the organisation itself doesn't matter, only the one of the players does. FaZe for example is also from North America but they field a european team + Twistzz from Canada. Team Liquid is originally from the Netherlands but they fielded an NA team for quite some time.
