Kryptonite is another way of saying weakness so it may be that the lyrics are trying to say that finding out the truth weakened gummy goo, i think asking for the light back is asking for the lie because it was bright and comforting & asking for the sight back was because he can no longer see what he needs to do next and is now lost on what he should do.

i think it's linked to the previous line of "teary eye" having tearing eyes is Pomni's kryptonite because those tears get in the way of seeing something (the bigger picture? a way out?) thus the need to say "give me my sight back"
