- In this video I show you my recent artwork, which is abstract acrylic painting on 140lb (or heavier) paper. I am revisiting and repainting older works that I did not yet complete. Thanks for sharing your art and your processes.... it's very generous of you. I also like that you mention other artists and recognise their influences on your style.
Your videos are amazing....
Thank you so much! That means a lot, Linda.
Hey, Allison!
Thanks for this great tutorial. I love being invited into your studio, your life, and your process. This lesson was chock-full of good stuff! I took lots notes and I stopped your video right on the middle to buy some Golden pthalo turquoise. I love that translucence! I’ve never been too interested in trying collage, but this video changed my mind. I’m inspired to make some of that cute brown bag with the black and white marks and to clean off my brushes on different types of paper. Art journaling is in my very near future. lol
I appreciate your generous crediting of other artists. So many different directions for me to go because of this video! 🙌🏼😊
that’s great to hear, Carrie. I appreciate you and your support!! xx
Love your abstract video! Love to see more!!! 😊
More to come! thanks
Thank you, so useful to see how you work😊❤
You’re welcome 😊
you are incredibly good! i love your videos and your vision!
i was a gallery artist for years and as you mentioned in another post it was stressful.
the methodology of your videos and your demonstrations are very refreshing.
up until now the only other artist i pay close attention to is Jane Davies .
very inspirational! thank you for taking the time and investing your energy into providing a quality video. i’m now a big fan!
wow. thankyou Connie. this means a lot to me.
Soo inspiring! New subbie!! 😊 Thank You so much!!
Thanks for subbing!
At 19:43 we can see a fabulous profil pink face of a woman at the top of the sheet ;-) that’s the spontaneous creativity 😊we love when we paint something abstract
Absolutely loved this Allison! I have been wanting to try acrylic paints but have felt too intimidated. You have given me a starting point I think I can begin with in this video. And I recently used brown packing paper from some online orders to do some creating with the grandkids so now I have more ideas to make collage papers with it (re-use!). So glad to have a new video from you for inspiration! Thank you! 💗
thanks for this positive and insightful comment, Cathy, I hope to do more videos with a charger near by my phone next time! ha. so much learning…
Thank you.

Thanks Allison, good to see you back. Always appreciate your enthusiasm and inspiration for art ❤. I’m looking forward to seeing the next video.
Thank you Terri
I loved this, thank you .❤
You're so welcome! Glad you got something out of this one!
When I did some collage paper & painting, I did the “brush cleaning off” marks on book pages. What an effortless way to create several pages in minutes❣️. I love it & learned it right here so thank you❣️❣️❣️
I love that! thanks for sharing ❤️
So good to see you again :) Thank you Miss Allison !
Thanks so much:)
Please teach us more of this! Thank you.

Thanks so much Linda
I would love to see more like this. It was very inspiring.
wonderful to hear! It didn't feel like my best video especially how it ended! But it's good learning for the next.:)
This is so inspiring 😊
Thanks so much
Great to see you. Keep being awesome friend. X
thanks Jessica!
Hi. Have you used gesso as an inexpensive white?
Yes I have, but I forget sometimes! Thanks for the great reminder. It’s a fabulous white!
Thanks for sharing. It seems like you always start up a page but then end the video. It could be nice to see a piece from start untill you feel it is finished and then follow the whole process. I have tried to watch several videos to find where you re-visit the pages you have started up but it doesn't seem like you return to them.
ha- yes, that's probably pretty accurate! It's not my intention to cut off the video before finishing or at least "wrapping " up a piece... but its (I am) a work in progress as I'm still quite new to this. Thanks for watching and your insights. This gives me a goal for my next videos.
Why do this??I'm not joking I want to know why?? Thank you 😊 🙏.
it can take courage to express layers that in truth, expose inner creative ideas, feelings, thoughts beyond (& without) words both positive & otherwise... each layer is a mirror of one's own being...rather than resort to self- or other destructive behaviors, we get to work/play out in arty ways what chefs would call ingredients preceding the result...all require some practice, sense awareness, intuition & bravery to experiment...like a perfumer must add or subtract multiple essential oils til the nose knows 'the one' from base note to middle to sustained finish...
Just because it makes you happy to create ❤.
@@jlm517rocksReally!! 😂😂🤣🙄
painting makes me happy and calm and it’s my source of dopamine. I wish everyone could find their own version of what makes them happy😍 And the good thing is that there is something for everyone and watching videos is a choice…
Cause it's awesome, it's healing, relaxing, enjoyable etc...creating and expressing oneself is good for our mental, spiritual, and physical health❤❤❤
