- “Sporty Twosome” is a Chevrolet dealer training filmstrip from September '65 which introduced the ’66 Corvair and Corvette to the Chevrolet sales counsellors. The film covers the new exterior and interior features of each model and also mentions the two new 427 cubic inch engines offered in the Corvette.
This video was originally a filmstrip with the sound coming from a companion 33 rpm vinyl record with beeps to indicate when to advance to the next slide. This film was intended only for dealers and was not shown publicly.

A great piece of automotive history. I love how proud they are that a driver's side outside mirror is standard equipment.
yes, and proud of seat belts too even though they were required by federal mandate by this point.
I still own a 1965 Corvair Corsa Coupe with the optional 180 Turbo Charged engine , & a 1967 Corvair Monza Convertible with a 110 & Power-Glide trans. Both are truly great automobiles. Thanks for the retro video.

1966 was only the second model year for the full-length rear window on the C2 Corvette. It was originally a split-rear window, but Zora Arkus-Duntov had concerns about rear vision.
Was the 396 cid (6.5-liter) "Turbo-Jet" V8 ever offered on the Corvette?
Yes, the 396 was offered as an option in the 1965 Corvette.
I have to upgrade the prescription of my rose tinted glasses before I can get nostalgic about Corvairs.
