I love love love this strum pattern! It took some practice for me to get the timing right. When I started singing along it took even more practice. I still have not perfected it but it is so fun! Thank you so much!

As someone who lives in Hawaii for seven years and as a new ukulele player with an acoustical/electric, I think your teaching methods are focused and perfect in their approach for both beginner and intermediate players. Keep up the great work Cynthia🌴🌈🍊🍍🍌
The first day, I learned the new chords (Eb, D7) and the strumming pattern Gm (dX) Eb(u).
The second day, I learned Eb(uduX) D7 (U -uXu- uXu).
3 days later, I'm humming Havana

I almost gave up at Day7 because I couldn’t play island strum after watching many tutorials. With your detailed tutorial and practice, I’m able to play chucking with island strum at Day 18. Cynthia, I love your cover on this! Two things I would wish for: 1) your playing & singing this song as a separate MP3 so I could listen to it a lot as I go about chores - I don’t see it on an album of yours yet; and 2) having the words to HAVANA on the screen as you start putting the words to the chords and strum; I’ve been saying “Down-chuck - up down up-chuck etc” so much through all my practicing that I’m having trouble fitting the words into my playing it! I’m pretty-much a beginner but I can play it ok but not with the words. Thank you! I really love this song!
