She was hurting so much when she asked him never to enter the room. But had the self respect to do it, even though her heart and soul were crushed. Punishing him hurted her equally.

Why do I want polyamorous representation?
Because when someone doesn’t want to date me because I’m poly it’s ‘understandable’ but when I don’t want to date someone because they are monogamous it’s ‘ridiculous.’
Because all relationship advice tells you that if you have feelings for someone else while you’re in a relationship you’re a bad person.
Because even feminists try to slut shame me.
Because when I tell people me and my partner have an open relationship they assume it’s because we’re going through a rough patch.
Because people equate ‘multiple partners’ with ‘predator’ and think everything I say is an attempt to get in their pants.
Because I am fed up of love triangles as easy plot devices in my media.
Because the LGBTQA+ movement are so desperate to show ‘allies’ they are ‘just like everyone else’ that they shit on everyone with a non-monogamous dynamic.
Because being bisexual shouldn't mean that I have to choose which gender I want to spend my forever with... Or exclude me from a happy forever.
Because when a monogamous couple have sex with each other every night it’s having an active sex drive. When I have sex with a different partner every night I’m a nymphomaniac.
Because people assume polyamory is just about multiple sex partners instead of multiple *loving & committed* relationships and instead conflate polyamory with swinging when they're totally different lifestyles.
Because people think that monogamy = validity, always.
Because monogamous hetronormativity is so ingrained that I don’t even feel like I can dance with someone without telling them the complete logistics of my love life.
Because people genuinely believe that raising a child communally is damaging to development.
Because when I say ‘I could never be monogamous’ I get dirty looks.
Because too many people have tried to confide in me when they’re cheating because ‘I thought you, of all people, would understand.’
Because I can’t talk about my relationship troubles with my monogamous friends because ‘I always have something to fall back on.’ As if my relationships are meaningless.
Because being Polyamorous isn't an "alternative lifestyle", it is just how I choose to live *My* life, so I can be happy.
Because being Polyamorous does not mean I'm afraid of commitment. I am able to commit to many types of relationships. And love more than one person.
Because it is unfair to ask any one person to be your/their everything & it is a lot of pressure on me to try to be any one partner's everything. It can take over being authentically themself if a person allows it to.
Because needing multiple or different kinds of energy/chemistry does not make me greedy or selfish.
Because actively encouraging myself to stretch out of today's social constructs of "love" & experience true compersion has made me a better person. I also experience more open, honest communication & healthier, less codependent relationships than when I was living a monogamous lifestyle.
Because holding a partner while they cry over another partner is not wrong, or weird. It is an absolutely amazing expression of the love I have for them. I hurt with them/for their pain because I encourage their happiness & fulfilment as much as I do my own.
Because when I’m struggling with an illness, there is more that I need help with than one person can/should be responsible for. Each of my partners adds something vital that better helps me to thrive.
Because it shouldn’t be odd when my partners become friends. It’s healthy for them to be able to talk to each other about their ups and downs with me and have someone else who understands. It gives them more support to discuss how they have each become more self-aware, resilient and emotionally/mentally healthy because of our dynamic.
Because polyamory doesn’t have to be about sex. I have multiple non-romantic/sexual partners that are just as, if not more, important than my sexual/romantic ones.
Because I can love multiple partners & not have a "favorite", in the same way a parent can love multiple children & not have a "favorite".
Because my other partners beside my husband are important to me and I want to feel comfortable saying "my girlfriend made that" instead of "a friend made that"
Because I adore my husband, and he and his girlfriend are so damn good for each other.
Because I should get to express myself in my relationships the way that I choose that feels aligned and right for me and those involved
Because I will be ashamed only when & if I've done something legitimately wrong.
Feel free to add more "becauses" to reflect your CNM
      Insta: @thebuddhadoula & @passionatedemons if you'd like to see more representation🙏🏼💕

@@mnggnm1907 Bajirao was a brahmin. That marriage wasn't legitimate as they are monogamous. There is no logic other than that.
Also. Kashibai's family is the reason why Bajirao has money to war at the beginning and rose to his legendary status. His family was a political social climber and Kashibai's family is a powerful merchant family that is lending money to the Sultanate. The Sultanate is the man above Bajirao's position. In western terms the Sultanate is king and the Peshwa is just the prime minister. That war had to be funded and was very expensive as they showed in the movie.
*The conquests themselves yielded little if at all in their coffers and Bajirao brushed it off and told his men the "riches" were from their victories in war instead.*
This is why Bajirao's mother was reluctant to accept Mastani and went to great lengths to oppose the unlawful union despite Mastani's father giving them dowries which Bajirao and his brother were just spoils of war. They will loose their monetary power by angering Kashiba's family with the infidelity, who is their biggest ally in their country. They will risk dishonouring the family image that Bajirao went and won wars for. Which speaks volumes to how Kashibai conducted herself through this whole ordeal as being the most faithful wife.
Had Kashibai acted righteously, the Peshwa would be just like the military activities of France until the beheading of King Louis XVI. They were succesful because they had military power that was taxed on the backs of the working poor which led to their anger and the eventual fall of their royal bloodline. They will all be put to shame and Kashibai will be a widower regardless, albeit with her dignity intact.
Think of how much Kashibai thought of this and decided to be selfless instead for the sake of her own country. She was the only hero in this movie.

As was the real Kashibai as well. She loved and supported her husband even though he found love with another woman and brought her to live in Kashi's home. While Bajirao may have received a lot of criticism from his own clansmen for keeping a mistress but his wife Kashi supported him. For her, her husbands happiness was more important than anything else. Not just this Kashi also supported Mastani and Bajirao's son after Bajirao died. She made sure that Bajirao and Mastani's son got his inheritance after Bajirao's untimely demise. This son was so grateful to Kashibai that he fought against the Mughal emperor of the time in support of Marathas even though he was a Muslim. Just like Ram and Sita, Bajirao's achievements are celebrated as a warrior and somehow the woman's silent strength of enduring through difficult times solely on the basis of their moral strength gets overlooked.

See her eyes. To all haters shouting out there that PC is not a talented artist and she got just a few roles accidentally, just look at her eyes.. She was living as kashibhai with all emotions. For me Bhjirao is special coz of PC and Shreya. I think she had done a much better performance than Deepika in this. How gracefully she carried her emotions. PC is a blessing to Bollywood who actually know what 'acting' is not not just glam!

But priyanka is priyanka she made a mark in Hollywood too both gone to Hollywood where deepika now nobody knows her nobody recognizes her!! Hats off to peece she's the real queen thr mother of talent expression!!

Of course you are right but mastanis role itself is one dimensional, there is nothing deeper to show,so how can the actress show anything more than what the character entails

@@santanubanerjee6765 She has many instances to show , one is when she talks to kashi and kashi calls her a slut. Deepika could not act at par Priyanka and it is evident in that scene. The problem she acts the same in every character. Her diction is same, her emotions of crying is same and her body language is same in padmaavat, bajirao and ramleela.
She is the one who does one dimensional acting.

At 1:09 Priyanka looks at her husband with lot of love and admiration.. Ranveer doesn't even notice it and is in a hurry to finish d conversation n leave.. It looks like kashi bai wants to fight with him, question him, shout at him.. but does quite opposite by letting him go.. Women of integrity!
