    I envy you this sensible exam. It is nice and adequate to check skills. Here in Poland, the exam is just money-maker for government. Close to being impossible to pass, especially for someone starting with motorcycles ("skilled beginner"). Like fast slalom - 30km/h sharp turns - easy to touch cones. There are even some cases of breaking legs on Polish exam because tasks are so risky.

    I’m from Macau, and ours exams are short but very difficult, we only need to do one thing before road test, which is 4 cones on a slope, one lane wide, we have came to a stop on the slope, then start and go around all the clones on the slope twice, but It pretty much covers all the clutch and break controls and figure 8 and everything.

    Interesting that you say not to rely too much on the back brake. I have found it easiest to set the throttle, keep the clutch at the biting point and then regulate everything else with the back brake. If I feel the bike slowing too much I just ease off the brake and it comes right back to where I want it. Simple. I know that over the longer term, this probably wears out the back brake more quickly but since you're not really going to be doing too many figures of 8 in real life, I think it's ok. Anyway, got my Mod 1 tomorrow (yikes!). Practice day yesterday (on a much smaller and tighter course) went perfectly. Just got to control the nerves now, which isn't easy. Not taking anything for granted, that's for sure.

So CBT, Theory (which you could also do before the CBT), Mod 1 and then Mod 2, which (when passed) gives you the full licence, or licence restricted to A1/A2/A depending on what motorcycle or scooter you pass on. There's no option to do them in any other order.

    • @BikeMatters
      @BikeMatters  Před 4 lety +2

      Thank you! Training costs are dependent on how much training you need & where you are, really. If you're completely confident in your riding you may need fewer lessons, but it pays off to have an extra 1 (or 2!) to get more used to the bigger bike.
      I'd love to say an exact price, but it depends on you and your location. Check the Camrider website for their current prices and offers!

      Try to do it on your 125. Mod 1 is 15.50. You'll see how you feel. Then you can repeat it on something bigger, fe. from friend. Just make sure you have right insurance when using bigger bike and you'll be alright.
