Ok there’s a few things I need to say here. 1 autoart originally did a road warrior car which had the fuel tanks and even a removable nose. Those can still be had on eBay if you wanna pay a lot. Next is the price difference which is HUGE!! The greenlight will set you back around 70 bucks which is not so bad when you consider that GL also has the mad max yellow XB 4 door for sale too with big bopper ( Roop and Charlie’s car ) due out in December. GLs don’t have opening hoods or trunks is the only real downside to them but they’ll look the part. On the interceptor the blower is glued to the top of the hood. The Autoart is the 2nd edition of the interceptor and was based on the road warrior car. You can find a decal kit to fix your AA but the purchase price is 250 bucks higher than the GL. Yep you heard me you’re comparing a 70 dollar replica to a 315 dollar one. The GL will be fine for most folks and 70 is my top spending limit. Autoarts were priced fairly a few years back when I bought my Skyline GTR-R34 and my slightly higher grade Audi Quattro ( ashes to ashes gene hunt fan ). For an autoart replica I wouldn’t pay over 150 even if it’s something I really want

Yes i'm looking for the road warrior for a good price. And I payed 150 for my autoart
And i'm very happy with it 😃 The greenlight is a bit to expensive for what it is with the scratches and faults in the paint

Liked and subscribed. Great comparison/review on these. I'll check out your other videos directly. I have two AutoArt Tuned MM1 cars, one Millennium MM2 car, one Upgraded MM2 with removable nose and I bought enough spare parts from AutoArt long ago to build a complete MM1 tuned version car. I plan to make one MM1 more realistic/screen accurate, a very realistic/accurate MM2 car and build a Fury Road version. I have to complete my hobby room first. Lol. Also I paid less than $200 each for all but one of the AutoArt MM cars having got most early on and one scratch and dent discounted. One exception was the MM2 upgraded car.... coughed up $300 for it recently. I plan to get one of the Greenlight cars also to test different ideas on.

I've been wanting this car, but after checking ebay I'm happy to order greenlight (Fairfield Collectables $74.95). The cheapest I found on the AA ebay was one used for $265 + $45 shipping, from there up to $700+, crazy expensive. The AA engine detail is outstanding, they always knocks it out of the park, but I'm going to display it hood down most of the time anyway so it's not worth hundreds extra, for me at least. I'll spend less cash and imagine how great the engine looks.

You can always wait and hunt for the autoart version until you find a good deal.
I just found the road warrior version for 400 thats a pretty good deal. I will make a video about it

@@HappyDude1 I think $75 for the greenlight is great, the blower sticks up out of the engine compartment so we can see the important bit.

The Greenlight version lacks the shape and the heft of a Ford Falcon, Auto Art did a much better 1/18 diecast of it.
I bought both the Tuned and the Normal 'clean' Auto Art versions and the details are amazing, from replicating the Falcon's shape, their modifications, right down to the different sets of rear Sunraysia rims used on each version of the Mad Max I and II movies. Unfortunately the weathered version by Auto Art has a lazy paint job where it looks like they just sprayed the model all over with brown paint without any care for detail.
I also bought third party vinyl's of the badge emblems that are accurate to what was used in the movie, most third party decals being offered out there on the market lack the finer details and are flimsy.
    Great video.

@@HappyDude1 Really? Then awesome! I'm one of your customers that bought your vinyl stickers 👍🏽 I bought two sets for both my Falcons although the 'Warrior' version didn't have them I just wanted to add them anyway for a personalized touch, they look so damned good and they complete the look of my Falcons.
I high recommend these vinyl stickers to any 1/18 diecast Interceptor owners!

The more expensive AutoArt is obviously the winner, but that is difficult to get now and is expensive. The Greenlight is more affordable and despite its shortcomings, i still think its fine for its price point.

The greenlight is not that cheap and comes with scratches and paint missing in spots 😚 and this interceptor is actually one of the most affordable autoart cars😝 I just love when something is so detailed. And I have more videos comming up 😃 i hope you like them

@@HappyDude1 I'm based in the UK and the Greenlight usually lists for between £75-£90. Whereas the AutoArt version is usually only found on Ebay and cheapest I've seen is around £280 and upwards. I've certainly no doubt the AutoArt is the recommended one and I'd love one myself, its just there's levels!
I always enjoy these videos though and I'm glad you've got both to compare as it does help!

@@HappyDude1 A quick buff with good car spray wax and a microfiber rag fixes that quickly. And in the us given the rather significant price difference it’s not a hard choice. The GL will cost you 69 to 75 US dollars and it’s still widely available wherever you look. The Autoart was out a few years ago and seeing as it’s out of production the price reflects in the 315 dollar price . That’s 165 dollars over my maximum limit I’ll spend. Greenlight also has 1 other car out now. Max’s yellow interceptor 508is currently available and MFP-08 ( Roop and Charlie) Big Bopper is due out in December

Blower pulley on Green Light is to high. And bonnet & quater panel blackouts are wrong. And roo & bootlid spoilers should be moulded onto body. Not just stuck on.
