  • Join me on an Alaskan fly fishing adventure as I take off in my helicopter, journeying deep into Alaska's wilderness to reach one of the most secluded trout streams in the region. In this episode, I take off from the hangar and soar deep into Alaska's untouched landscapes, aiming for a tiny river island so secluded, it’s only accessible by helicopter. With the rivers running fast and the odds stacked against me, the quest is to land a massive Alaskan trout using traditional fly fishing techniques. Will skill and perseverance pay off, or will the challenging conditions prove too much? Tune in to find out if I can outsmart these elusive giants in one of the most isolated and pristine fishing spots in Alaska. Don't forget to subscribe for more unique fishing expeditions and aerial adventures in Alaska!

Thanks! We're pretty blessed to have the 44 in our lives. Thanks for watching! I'm trying hard to get a new video out every other Friday, so if you like seeing the kinds of things we do for fun up here in Alaska, check out some of the other ones that we're posting.

Brett, were you nymphing or fishing a streamer? When you are back in the lower 48, you should definitely check out fishing Pyramid Lake for Lahontan Cutthroat; assuming Alaska hasn’t spoiled you too much with fishing. Hit me up if you are ever in the Yosemite area to go fishing. Great video and Helicopter!

Hey Pat! I tried both that day. I was there for a couple hours but there was nothing happening. Normally this river runs much, much slower. We had a massive snowfall this winter and then about 2 weeks prior to this trip out there we had a massive heat wave. I was hoping that the major part of the melt was done but it wasn't. I've flown around the area a few times since then and the water level is much lower, so I'll be headed back shortly to try again. Unfortunately right now we have a temporary flight restriction around the area due to a wildfire. I would love to go fish Yosemite with you!!
