Let's look at some positives. Even if we get relegated, which is very likely, our owners have big plans for the future, and the finance to enable it. Relegation is an inconvenience and just a blip. Remember too, our owners plans are long-term not short term.
James, I've written this without listening to what you were saying, but bits I caught sound like you are being positive too. You're young enough to see the bright future happen, but I might not see it.

I do believe that in some ways, relegation to League One could be the making of Blues long term.
However having said that, I still want us to fight to stay up on Saturday.

I like the positivity but personally I think it would be a disaster. Most of the transfer targets we would have had for this summer won't sign for a League One side. Most of the decent players we have now will want to leave also. We'd waste at least two years if we went down and it would force a double re-build, one to get out of League One and another once back in the Championship. Money or not, the players we will want won't want to play in that league. It would slash our broadcasting revenues to nothing so would harm the clubs finances. Yes it would not be the end of the world, but there are no upsides to it or blessings. I hope it doesn't happen but if it does?.....well KRO

It'll be a bump in the road to success! (sounds like a crap motivational poster!!) Hopefully we won't go down. Leicester will be pushing to get 100 points at home to Blackburn. Hull will be pushing to get into the play offs against Plymouth, I think Sheffield will beat Sunderland (unless Jobe puts a shift in for us) so we just have to turn up and get a result against Norwich.

20000 leagues under the sea, we couldn't win one of those either, player purchases , owner decisions and players just being thick, lazy have got us here, we play a system that players cannot maintain and literally have forgotten all their years of training how to play. Go down and a total rebuild as I can't see Mowbray back , he should just get himself better, a new everything and find players the Brentford way and make sure most are 6ft or over, as we been out passed all season by 99% of teams

We all said we would go straight back up before, and yes it was before you was born, it was hard work and the players got kicked all over the place, remember that other lot across the city went there before us! What ever happens we just need to win our last game for the fans but the reaction from the players at the end of the last game was not good towards the fans and indeed some of the players looked as if it was game over and just wanted to get off the pitch...KRO

End of the line for small heath, I'm afraid. Done nothing but battle against relegation for years. It eventually wears you down. What supporter wants that, season after season? You need a complete rebuild from top to bottom. Start keeping your kids. Get them into the first team, if they are good enough! They are old enough! You are known for the quality of your youth academy. Use them, cos all the money in the world, will not attract quality players to a league one football club! Or a championship one for that matter. It's a slower process, but a much better outcome in the long term. UTV.
Never think it’s a good thing to go down, Derby didn’t come straight back up can be a tough league to get out of, plus we will be everyone’s cup final, we need to stay up.
League one is a graveyard of former top-tier teams.
Derby were financially knackered for a bit though.
It would be difficult to get promoted but it's very rare that a team in as good a position as us financially goes down to League 1. Most are screwed, several key players leave and they have no money to replace them. That won't be the case for us. Look at Ipswich - they spend 3 years in League 1, got new owners who invested in the squad and then they immediately got promoted and are looking likely to get promoted to the Premier the year after.
We will just have to wait and but miss Tony so such kro susan

I worry about you, Sunderland spent 4 Seasons in league one before promotion. How do you expect to compete with other clubs for good young players, unless you get a good manager who can mould mostly average players into a team then you have little hope.

Reckon there’s a 40% chance of us beating Norwich and a 70% chance of one of Blackburn, Plymouth, Sheff Wed losing. The odds are against us, but one thing Blues are is unpredictable.
