So, let's take a look at 10 specific reasons that I think make rooting your Android phone still worth it.

Hey team! Hope you enjoyed the video :) The A12 QS Mod team have reached out and let me know that the version I showed in this video is actually outdated, and the new version is actually an application called Project Themer (as well as a module) with WAY more themes to choose from. Check it out here - is.gd/a12qsmodupdate

    My few reasons to root:
    1. Advanced automations with Tasker. (Giving adb permission every time I want to try something new, or i reboot my device is just too much hassle. Rooted device just works so much better for these things)
    2. Using Xposed Edge Pro for gestures. Native android gestures aren't even 1% of what this module can do. (Also, It can do lots more than just gestures)
    3. Adblock
    4. Viper4Android
    5. Advanced control of app permissions and data that apps receive.

😬 I am rooting device since 10 years. Buy phone, root one 2nd day...
but now I think its not big deal.
Devices and apps has gone more intelligent so they can save battery, run apps without root and and do many things, previously they unable to do. Also app mentioned above are useless for me. So I should not root my new device now

    • @mayankchhaperwal4108
      @mayankchhaperwal4108 Před 2 lety +6

@@User00571 yes its definitely personal preference. It also depends how much time you can put into all this stuff. Once you have a job or something, it gets difficult to afford even a day without phone if something goes wrong.
I feel that the craving to do something new with the phone again and again, slowly goes away with time. I am sure even if you had the same software 10 years ago, you would still not be content with it and would want something new at that time. I am definitely going in the same direction slowly.

Thought I'd share this, as the link for the A12 QS Mod in Sam's pinned comment is broken:
A12 QS Mod is now part of Project Themer as an app in the Play Store instead of a Magisk module, of course it does still require root.
The good news: it's great and works perfectly on my Pixel 6 Pro.
    The bad news: it's $2.99.

A very informative video for me. I have a Pixel 5 and a Samsung A52s 5G. I always use a launcher with the Pixel because I don't have enough setting options. On the Samsung, I love the Samsung Launcher. In the meantime, I don't even need a launcher to use icon packs from the Playstore. Because I really like the surface, widgets, etc. at Samsung. I once thought about rooting the Pixel 5 but I don't dare and I really get along with Nova Launcher very well.

Just found out what rooting was and now I am really interested in doing it, but I'm going to hold off until I get a new phone since I don't want to risk any of my stuff from being wiped forever. I know the argument of not needing to since you could get most of the same experience without rooting, but it's not bad having extra features that help your phone to the fullest. Hopefully it would go smoothly for me when I get to it

Root for me is the very first thing I do when I get a new device.
    Mainly for:
    - Backup/Restore my apps between devices (Google drive backup is not even near)
    - Ads, Ads are everywhere, I can get rid of them on webpages, trackers, banners, apps, malicious content on the web, etc. Modifying the host file should not be something only for "root" devices, it's a basic functionality of every computer.
    - Advanced customizations, personalize actions with buttons, double click volumen buttons.
    - Automatic actions trigger by custom events to control the device

Hi, I recenly followed your guide and rooted my Pixel 6 and got it working with my banking apps. Thanks for that, I really enjoy my rooted phone, and am pleased with how smooth the process was/ However., could you create a follow up guide on how to get the latest google security updates if one was follow your Pixel 6 root guide? Or make a video displaying how to manually install the latest update. I ask this because I keep getting the notification that my device is not up to date other videos showcase a method of choosing the 'restore images' option when uninstalling magisk but when I do so it says 'stock back up does not exist' preventing me from following the next instructions. So it would be really helpful if you could show us how to do it if we followed your initial method in rooting. Thanks

Hey man, i want to root my old phone as the system apps is really eating the internal memory nowadays rendering my phone useless due to storage issues. Can you share a video here on youtube that is really a legit guide foe rooting? I can't seem to find one that can be trusted. I don't wanna brick my old phone just because of following a scam video. Thanks

Hi Sam, first of all congrats for your videos…. I learn and use some apps that you show in CZcams! In the past I usually root my device but in the last years stop doing because I love the pixel experience. I was very excited with title of your video…. I own a Pixel 6 like you but mine dont have 5g network available because Google locked the 5g in unsuported country’s… like Portugal, and other European country’s!
Is it possible after rooting the pixel 6 unlock the 5g network? Thanks 👍🏼

Same. My drone's remote control tries to charge my phone by default for some stupid reason (which drains the remote FAST), so I need to root my 2nd phone so I can disable charging so my remote control lasts longer. I also cap the charge at 83% to maximize battery life.

I rock a custom ROM because my Snapdragon 855 still kicks butt even if my vendor says no more updates.
Rooting though? Been there done that. Too many apps complained about it, and the workarounds don't work for every app. It just seems too messy over using the system the way it was meant to be used.

Lucky patcher, overclocking/under clocking, ai based battery management, systemless host, screen color profile adjustments, volume step adjustments, camera api modding, kernel based tweaks, memory heap tweaks, screen touch rate overclocking, remapping buttons/adding double tap features, removing stupid system apps, and so much more. It's easier than ever to reflip safetynet especially on Samsung devices which used to be next to impossible. I see very little reason not to root if any.
