Building new high capacity metro trains - jobs for Victorians

The High Capacity Metro Trains Project will result in 1100 jobs to build 65 next-generation trains, the Pakenham East depot and light service facility at Calder Park, as well as the long-term maintenance of the trains.

I'm not a Victorian resident but gee wiz.........it's so good to hear that the Victorian Government is choosing to build their new fleet of Metro passenger rollingstock in the State of Victoria. This decision will help create more employment for Victorian's not to mention the economic benefits for the whole state. It's such a pity that NSW and Queensland hadn't made the same choice, making the wrong and foolish decisions to build their latest passenger rollingstock overseas.
