I was advised when I did my fire training to wrap something around the Co2 extinguisher as it gets very cold and might prevent you getting frostbite.

It's supposed to be basic and show moving so it's idiot proof, well almost!
I train people in fire safety and it's surprising how easy people can switch off. This is a decent video, basic yes but decent.
That is without doubt the best fore safety training video I've ever seen. Clear, simple, unhurried, demonstrated the use of the 4 main types commonly found.
I would like permission please to use this as part of my HGV / PSV driver safety training course.

i see the Fire Triangle is similar to the blister Triangle. and also I learned about the Blood Circle while my son was in Scouting. But some of the boys would point to one of their bruises and call those blood circles too. (It's supposed to be about knife safety).

Technically they fall under Class B - though you do need a specialised one for best effect.

I learned in a training session that I should aim to the base of the fire, using the P.A.S.S method. now I am confuse.
As stated it is dependent on the type of extinguisher used. PASS is the standard training method because as mentioned in the video dry powder extinguishers are an all around type of extinguisher and thus is the type you'll find and use 90% of the time no matter where you are. So more basic fire training simply teach PASS and to aim at the base of the fire since thats what you would do with a dry powder extinguisher.

Thats true,C02 made out of a different gas was not flamable it will smuthel out all the flames,Mostly on fires contain,Oil and other flammable liquids,Lets put this way,Won't want to be putting water on it,Unless if you want to feed the flames and make them 100000 times worse,I would rather use the foam fire extinguisher on class B fires,Such as flammable liquids fires,The foam be as good as the C02 extinguisher,Use the water extinguisher on class A fires such as wood,paper ect,Any thing really not contain any flammable liquids,Dry powder be enough to smuggle out flames on all class fires

Agree, at least not while it is really important, Like telling people who need to evacuate certain areas ahead of a forest fire., they don't have time to sit through ads before finding out if they need to leave their home or not. Or cheerful ads right before you find out about death or crimes.
However this one is not time-sensitive, and from reading other comments, seems it will be only up for a period of time as they usually DO sell the video for it

I've noticed that there's always at least one element of doubt whoch comes into play with fire safety and fire fighting training. Human behaviour and confusion which is caused by too much information.
I don't need to know what class a fire is and to be told for example that Dry Powder id for fighting Class A, B, C etc. I just need to know which type of fire each extinguisher should not be used on.
So for example...everyone knows not to use Water on electrical....simple and never forgotten.
Also why does no training video ever show the dangers of using CO2 for godssake!

Not bad, but some clunky dialog: 'prevented by putting some simple safety procedures in place'. Better: 'prevented by having simple safety procedures' Saved three words; punchier, quicker to absorb, easier to learn from. No one walking around which place to put the procedures in.
