Even tho I recently got a new 3DS XL, I still own my original red 3DS and it sits comfortably next to my original blue DS as well 😌 I get a bit nostalgic looking at it, 11 years strong with the little guy 💪🏼

@@ibra673 the original 3ds can only hold a maximum SD card of 32 GB i know cuz i recently bought one for my original 3ds of 11 years

Those things are hard to hold for me, I personally prefer the new 3ds XL
the new 3ds xl and non xl and the 2ds are the best systems out of the family. 2ds I say for ergonomics.

Imo I think the New 3DS is the best one I prefer the smaller size (Bigger doesn’t always mean better to me) cause it doesn’t tire out my hands after prolonged use, it’s cuter with the the more mat finish than the glossy one and the buttons are more colorful and the swappable face plates are also a pro!
Agreed. You can comfortably put it in your pockets and take it with you as well.
My thoughts exactly. I sold my XL to buy the smaller unit and don’t regret it at all. I’ve always prioritized portability, and the normal New 3DS fits great in a pocket.
It all depends on hand size, For me the non XL feels cramping after an hour of usage

I got a new 3DS myself, for the sole reason that you could customize the cover with so-called "kisekae plates." Yes, stickers have always been a thing but they usually peel off after a while and may or may not leave sticky residue, so I wanted something that could easily be replaced should I ever want to do so. In reality, I only ever changed them out the one time after my new kisekae plates arrived, but it's okay because I really do enjoy my current gold/white polkadot pattern one, and other kisekae plates are still available online, so it's not that big of a deal.
They’re mostly quite expensive these days though, since no one bought them

I’m glad Nintendo still makes hand held consoles, exited to see what they do for there next one
They don't make these no more the switches are the main lineup the switch lite being the main handheld of the lineup now
I still love my original red 3ds with 3D land included
The Original 3DS is the best design in my opinion next to the 2DS xl
but it can't play the newer 3ds games

how tho? the 2ds isnt as portable, the screens are tiny, it lacks the new 3ds upgrades, it has worse speakers and build quality, etc@@john-sp8jk

My og 3ds is still going strong, never had to upgrade it
The one thing I love about the original 3DS is that next to the 3D slider there is the green light up 3D.
I love design of old 3ds, for me it's a lot more stylish than any other new models.
New models look like a plastic toys)))
And is more Portable than The Others... Almost the size of an Modern Phone, i Think it being Pocketable makes up for it's Simple design and Being Less Powerful
I get where you’re coming from. The glossy design of the original is different to the matte finish of the others. Personally, I like both but lots of people don’t like the original’s glossy design because of obvious fingerprints.
I have a 3DS XL that’s still working to this day since 9 years ago
I have the new 3ds xl and I prefer the original 3ds model, I like how compact and premium it feels and the pixel density makes the screen look better in my opinion…

The 3DS XL to the O3DS is definitely one of the biggest glowups in console history.
I made a list of the improvements, look:
-Better 3D slider
-Less noisy open/close
-Better quality face buttons
-Better quality D-Pad
-Better power button
-Better battery
-Bigger screens
-Better stylus placement
-Sleeker design
-Better headphone jack placement
-More easily removable backplate
-Nicer looking LED lights
-Better "option" buttons (HOME, Start, Select)
-Bigger shoulder buttons
And finally,
-The top screen can slot into two positions
The New 3DS XL also has most of those features and more, but I hate that they put the MicroSD card on the back.

Still have my Cosmo black original 3DS. 11 years and this bad boy is still going. Although I still think the original model is much more durable than the original 3DS XL and the 2DS XL.
My old 3DS might be the last on this list but I still miss her... Wish I did treat her better...

Lots of good memories with that thing, and I still play it 5 or 6 years later so hopefully I’ll make a lot more ❤️
I’ve always had the New 3DS XL and my sister had the 3DS Classic (she was 2 years younger then me and didn’t care) and it brings back so much memories. Sometimes I still grab them out of the boxes and play Mario Party on them with her. Good times.

The XL consoles are great, but honestly I prefer the original size since it fits in my pocket better and it’s harder to notice the pixel size compared to the XLs

I opted for the smaller new 3ds because I wanted something that was more compact.
Personally I like the regular 2DS the best. From my experiences it doesn’t break as easily as the 3DS XL does.
I always said that 2Ds was way more comfortable than 3Ds

Agreed. If they also stuck with the standard sized New 3DS and then made it bigger for its New 3DS XL model (especially for North America where they wouldn’t get the standard sized New 3DS), as well as giving it swappable face plates like the smaller model, it would have been better.
I still love the New 3DS and New 3DS XL though.

The OG 2Ds deserves much higher, I would place it right before N3DSXL because it’s just so comfortable. I recently switched from my Mario maker edition to a 3DS XL and wow, the 2DS is just way more comfortable. I still like all the smaller features of the 3DS models and am using mine regularly, but the 2DS just lacks any worry about cramps and pain
i have the red 3ds xl but i like the design and form factor of the 2DS xl. the biggest w for the 3ds xl is the display being a better ips and the 3D i rarely use which is also optional

After hearing the End of Manufacturing news, my mom contacted her friends and found a New Nintendo 3DS XL Pikachu Edition, we didn't think it twice and bought it, came with Super Mario Maker included but now it's hacked

I like the original 3DS, 3DS XL & New 2DS XL models.
Haven’t touched my old 3DS XL in quite a while (going to have had it for 10 years in two months), the circle pad started drifting and I was too lazy to repair it. Definitely miss using it though!
I love my new 3ds xl because it has the prettiest colorway ever. I have the galaxy model which has a gorgeous multi chrome blue and purple interior and for that, it cannot be topped lol
I used to have a 3DS that look exactly like the original two DS that I think someone hacked into the software because I got it at a bargain bin
I really wanted to get the new 3DS XL but because my local store had only the 2DS XL I had to get that but on the flip side I got it bundled with Mariokart 7 so yea thats cool!
My Rankings:
6. 2DS - very bulky, but very comfy to hold
5. 3DS - small and the OG, but very portable
4. 3DS XL - just a few improvements over the 3DS
3. N2DS XL - just a N3DS without 3D and weird
2. N3DS XL - big, powerful, and nice to use
1. N3DS - portable and powerful (also faceplates)
you rank the n3ds over the new xl models but don't rank the original 3ds over the 3ds xl?

the new 2ds xl is arguably them ost durable one tbh, it shows scratches less than the new 3ds xl... meanwhile, my old 2ds gets wear and tear extremely easily, sure, it wont snap in half but that's not all that durability is@@john-sp8jk

I think my favorite model of the Modern 3ds is the 3ds Windows 10 edition

I have the new 3ds XL and original 2ds, but the perfect one is the new 3ds because the weight is less compared to the XL
New 3ds is the best one in my opinion. Best form factor, bigger screen than the original but not massive like the xl, compact and portable and best of all, the swappable top and bottom faceplates with a lot of variety that look amazing. The colorful buttons that are a nod to the super famicom are a nice touch as well. Must have for die hard Nintendo fans.
Still working my way through all the amazing Fire Emblems on my Fates edition XL..
I own the old 3DS XL and new 2DS XL, and I’ve also played on my brother’s old 3DS. I would also rank them in the same order. The og 3DS’s screens are a bit too small for my taste. I don’t mind playing DS games on screens this small, but it feels awkward with 3DS games. The old 3DS is massive, which is great for gameplay, but it is noticeably heavy. The new 2DS is one of the most comfortable consoles I own.
Something worth to note is that the original 3ds was very fragile, mine broke after just three years, one of the connection between the upper and lower part broke, it was awful. The successor was a 3ds xl that even after 8 years of service still works perfectly, it's way more sturdy and solid than the original.
I have the 3ds XL and I still enjoy playing Super Smash Bros on it!
I own the new 2ds xl pokeball edition and it is sooo good. I hombrewed it and now I can do anything I want on it
I have a fondness for the regular (small) New 3DS. It's a little bigger than the old 3DS but not as massive as the XL models... Those are not exactly pocket friendly (mine is have a New XL). The regular New 3DS looks just the right size to me.
I Think that aswell, Seeing the New 3Ds feels like The Perfect Model... It isn't as Big as an XL and It doesn't Sound that Expensive
I have the old 3DS XL and while it's not as good as a New 3DS I still really like it. The gameplay is actually the same as well, because many games have an FPS cap as well. Except for a few games that I will never play like Monster Hunter anyway.
The 3ds has a few loading lags but they are very rare and not really bad. If anyone has a different opinion, please let me know.
twice i have spilled soda on my classic 2ds where it would have bricked the 3ds from experiance (don’t ask) and it worked perfectly fine

I like the metal finish on the original 3ds instead of the plastic finishes on the other 3ds's.
I think i like original 3ds model more than original 2ds model because its small enough to put in your pocket, and also it has clamshell design that protect its screen from getting scrathed
i just modded my new 3ds xl and tbh im prolly gonna bring it around instead of my switch at this point

I dunno if other models fixed it, but I absolutely HATED the SD port under screws in the new 3ds xl. So the 2ds xl is my favorite.

My fav is new 2ds, its lighter than other and the SD card place is easy to open. I never use the 3D effect
