(This is a full rant and analysis lol.
Marinette doesn't like chst noir because she is deeply in love with adrien. Her love for adrien kinds blocks and other love interest from sprouting. If marinette were to love chat noir just because he likes her but mari has not been directly rejected by Adrien that would mean that mairs love for adrien is not strong enough for a relationship. Same with adrien not liking marinette. His love interests are also blocked. Adrien doesn't have the same excuse but adrian's love for ladybug is too strong for him to stop even though he has been directly rejected. Adrien loves ladybug so much even if she doesnt love him back. I'm sure it's time for Adrien to move on but I dont think he would yet. Adrien has another thing but I'll get to that in a second. Now the most understanding one that people dont think about is gabriel. Gabriel's thing with natalie is blocked off by emelie.

Technically Chatnior isn’t as oblivious and blind as we may think he actually figured out twice that Marinette is Ladybug in the Chat Blanc and Kwamibuster episodes Marinette on the other hand never considered or figured out Adrien is Chatnior!
But both times he discarded the information, or at least in kwamibuster he did. In chat blanc, ladybug erased her mistake so that he forgot that information. And he’s still extremely blind - in my opinion of course- as he just used his brain.

As much as I love the realization moment my favorite part of their relationship is that no matter how much he wants to know her identity he never betrays her trust. There are many scenes where he could have easily seen ladybug: that time she detransformed in a closet that he was guarding, the two times they detransformed on opposite sides of the same wall and continued talking, and here. All he would have to do is open a door, walk a few steps, or open his eyes but he doesn't. That kind of trust is why they work.
Can I just say that this is not even talent or skill. It's just simply amazing work, words cannot describe how good this was
