Your message about doing the same thing every day for eternity is so true. I’m living alone (with my dog, Chuck) for the first time in my 63 years of life. I miss SO much my ex-husband, and four grown kids, that are not around. I wish I had a very lived in home, to cook and clean in every day. I don’t know how to live without a family around me anymore. 😢 You are so fun to watch. I’m new member to your channel, and I love it!! ❤

I enjoyed this video. The lamp and succulents in the laundry area made a huge difference. I could enjoy spending time doing laundry in that space. I’ve always enjoyed doing laundry. I guess it’s because it’s just a good feeling knowing that it’s for the comfort of my family and I like taking care of my family ❤️. I totally relate to enjoying the peace and quiet when I’m alone in the house. I wouldn’t trade my family for the world, but we all need time alone with our thoughts and need peace and quiet to renew and refresh! I’m enjoying your channel immensely. Thank you

When we got the house it was in terrible repair. We moved in any way. We moved our stuff in and made it home. First thing my daughter in law said the next day was how cozy it felt regardless.🩷😊🩷
@@lovemrs.g I don't know if you feel this way but I thought of the house where we raised our kids as "our" house....this one we moved to, to provide an in law suite for my mother in law so to me it has never felt like our house. It just feels like a place we live. We've been here twenty years now....funny, huh? Maybe that's why we haven't remodeled anything, we've fixed a lot but haven't bothered to remodel one thing. We've just lived in this seventies built house year after year. We've put in new ac/heat and new hard scape outside because it was falling part or broken, that kinda stuff ...

I surprised myself last night. Before leaving for work I laid out my clothes that had been folded from the last time I did laundry on my bed with the hangers. When I got home I did put my clothes away that was on my bed as well as some clothes that was on top of my dresser. I even put up my previous warmer. I gathered up my dirty dishes so I can get to the end today.

What brought me joy today? To see my son and his family at early service this morning! My husband and I go to early service (8:30) and my son and his family usually go to the late on (11:00) what I wonderful surprise! They all looked so good in their "Sunday best" and all happy and healthy and they all ran up to us like we were something special.....just great to see all nine of them.

I know what happened to the dustpan. You set down on the corner edge of the wastebasket and it accidentally fell in. Then it went out with the trash.
What brought me joy today? A meatloaf & cheddar sandwich. Haha❣️Also, scrubbing the outside of the refrigerator I keep in the laundry room.

You mentioned that you lost the kitchen sink plug. Walmart sells them. If you order online you can get them with your groceries when you pick them up. I know you mentioned you pick them up so assuming you order online.

@@lovemrs.g Always happy to help. I didn't see the fabric on the shelf will have to pay attention for it. I bet it looks really nice on there. I don't know if you clean your lamp shades. I take a lint roller to them and get off the dust. That seems to work the best on them.

Mrs. G I live in Washington DC and they have a program here to help family get your house fixed. But for up here it's call for the age.
There are programs. But the wait list is long and when we bought this place it was our hope to do as much as we could on our own. Thank you so much for the suggestion though. 💕😍🩷

Yes, we just do them as we go. What matters is the house is safe and clean. Most things are cosmetic at this point.
