I had problem and none of the fixes worked. I finally figured out what was wrong on my own. I had purchased a USB hub that is working off of a USB 3.0 adapter card since my old system only has USB 2.0 and when I unplugged the USB transmitter from the hub and plugged directly into the USB slot on the main tower, it is working where I can use the keyboard before the OS loads. I had a problem where one of the fans failed on my Dell and got the message to hit f12 to enter setup or f1 to continue. When I tried both options, NOTHING. Keyboard was not working. Then I pressed the caps lock and number lock and there were no lights, so I knew there no communication from the keyboard to the system. Again, I just used a USB slot on the main tower. The add on hub gives lots of extra USB sockets, and as long as the OS is loaded, the keyboard will work from it, but if you need your keyboard before windows fully loads, you should avoid using USB mice and keyboards with these add-on hubs. The USB 3.0 adapter card drivers are loaded once windows starts, but not during boot or before the system actually loads. Nothing plugged into the hub works if the OS fails to load. That is because the drivers are NOT in the bios, but in the windows OS. Hopefully if none of the options in this video didn't work, this might help you.
You know, the PSU may be the factor your keyboard not working, i have 2 PSU that not work with any keyboard, but change PSU with other it working great, i dont know it can be. Do you know what is that ?
I am getting choose keyboard layout. I cannot get to any other window.. Mouse and keyboard go dead. When I reboot, I try the F keys with no luck. I tried unpluggiing everything from PC boot again, no luck. I tried unplugging hard drive and boot thinking I can get into Bios or boot but could not work. 2020's possible fix: TURN OFF FAST BOOT IN YOUR BIOS. Fast boot makes certain processes in the boot to be skipped, this includes the post screen to enter bios. Clear CMOS by removing physical battery as shown in the video, or shorting 2 pins on the motherboard if there is no battery on your newer motherboard. LOOK THIS UP IN THE MANUAL. Don't turn on fast boot (Ultra fast boot, fucking fast boot, or whatever it's called.). The difference in boot times are negligable anyway...
@@jaydenfurlong6109 Use the Top USB ports on the back of the PC. These USB are usually reserved for keyboard to get recognized fast in order to enter BIOS. If it's a laptop, there is always a combination of keys to enter BIOS.
I enabled fast boot then when I went to save and exit my pc ran into this problem so I know it is the fast boot that’s causing this but when I press the keys to access my bios nothing happens, my screen stays on the error screen and none of the keys do anything which they say they should I’ve tried multiple keyboards and they all do the same, after about 30 seconds my pc jus shuts off and the same happens over and over again do you know how to fix this by any chance, thank you
