We Italians, we all cried listening to this cover, because it's one of the most popular songs of Angelina's father, Pino Mango, who passed away 10 years ago, while playing amd singing at a concert. She was very emotional because of this, and yet she did a great performance!
possibly the most heartbreaking part of his death is that she was there right under the stage when it happened and there was nothing she could do to stop it from happening, and La Rondine seems to describe perfectly the pain she felt at losing him and the trauma she had to face to get back on stage and make her own dream of singing come true
