About elevators - G stands for Ground Level, then 1st floor in one above ground level. It's quite normal for me, and I always get confused when I see people say 1st floor and it's actually ground level.

Source: I've worked with clay, and speckled clay can be finicky to glaze, at least if you want to cover the speckling
I have a sneaking suspicion that the side labels on the lift panel were put there for American tourists. In the UK and other countries G is the ground floor, above that is 1st storey, then, 2nd, etc. In the US, the ground level is floor 1 and G means garage level. Americans might get confused by European lift controls if not given additional labels.
Now other countries already have to change stuff because americans want to be americans so they do stuff differently but i don't judge it's the least shit thing america does so it gets a pass

Something that always mildly infuriates me is when people think the icecream is uneven just because they see the top layer. 80% of those types of icecreams don't have their sections going straight down. They curve around and a small layer will go on top of another layer, hiding the other flavor.

I have dysatunomia, and the mask is great as long as I have one with a fan. I kept telling people to just use one like that, but nearly a year later even with the fan I can get faint. The reason for the alternate labels on one elevator panel is because it was apparently an elevator made for Britain but being used in the United States where the the conventions for the naming of building floors are different.
If I remember correctly, the elevator button that Robin is referring to at 3:59 is that way in order to indicate where the fire escape is. It’s some sort of fire code. The crappy design in that image is actually that the 19th floor button is between the buttons for the 1st and 2nd floors.
