Also the smaller enemies are not the big draw of the game. I had a crazy hard fought battle with a Minotaur that was special. On my way back into the capital city there was an armored Cyclops fighting the city guard and I had my party and like 8 or 10 guards fighting this cyclops. play more.
this game was going to be divisive if you ever played the first. funny all the comparisons you make are to elden ring but failed to realize the game is meant to be explored instead of going from checkpoint to checkpoint which you clearly did.
honestly I play souls game with only light attacks while sticking to one weapon so I don't mind a simple combat system, but it is the dodging and the different attack windows that make the game fun. If they do not have a dodge for a certain class and it relies mostly on positioning and running away then it must be really engaging in other areas to make the game fun since running away and disengaging makes the pace of the fight too slow for me

If a single player RPG does not have a compelling story, interesting characters, lore and a rich world building, then it has no reason to be an RPG. It should be an action game or an MMORPG. Another thing to complain about would be the lack of save files and the addition of micro transactions, you shouldn't buy this game based on that alone. It's refreshing to see someone calling it as it is instead of being all artsy fartsy pretentious praising the "creative vision" (the "creative vision" being not bothering with standard features of modern games). It really does just come off as a budget title in new, AAA game clothing (price point). I mean I'm a simple creature and I quite enjoy the odd basic action RPG here and there and I tend to add many of them to my collection once they hit a budget price which is what I plan to do with this...maybe, if the mood strikes at the same time this goes on sale. I have to disagree about consoles only running games at 30FPS. Consoles are more than capable of hitting 60FPS even with better looking open world games so long as the dev can be bothered to even TRY to utilize the power of modern consoles...at very least courtesy of performance mode which whoopty do I'll gladly take a notable increase in framerate for an imperceptible to me drop in fidelity. As it stands Capcom clearly couldn't be bothered to optimize for modern hardware or really with standard features of modern games.
