I will never understand why people in the audience just can't stop talking while a living legend like Billy Joel is performing a song - even a historical great new song after so many years.
I kinda feel the same way about taking a video of the performance instead of just talking it in.. I've never took my phone out during a live show.. I always want to be 100% present and focused on the set and performance
@@jasonw6688 yeah, I don't like taking my phone out at all, just take in the moment, there will Alwyas be pictures on social media and videos on social media, and it will be more than likely professional pics, not ones taken with heads bobbing around in front from a weird angle
@@jasonw6688 Yeah, it's hard to take this disrespectful behavior for fans who never had the chance to get tickets so far because it's always already sold out much too fast.
This is going to be a classic song like Just the way you are, Honesty, Allentown, Uptown girl and We didn't start the fire. Awesome singer songwriter. ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Pay hundreds of dollars to see a living legend. He debuts his brand new song, first single he's written in 17 years. And you decide to talk all throughout the song? Wow.
Once payed a few hundred bucks on tickets sold second hand to see Art Garfunkel. 2000 people in the Philharmonic theatre max. People talking there also were warned twice by staff to shut up , stop talking cause Garfunkel's very sensitive to it and he has stopped shows because of that.
I don't mind someone singing along, at least they are into the performance, bug the nonstop talking, that pisses me to no end. Disrespectful to the performers, but so much more to the like me who spent too much on a ticket to watch it in the first place. This video though, has to without a doubt be the absolute worst case I have ever heard. I would have literally told them shut up.
I’ve taken videos of Billy performing and honestly I did not hear anyone talking till I listened to the videos I took after, it’s pretty annoying and noticeable in the videos but the music in person does drown them out
I love this new song! Loved watching Billy on the Grammys. Just didn’t know I was going to have to watch all the way to the end.😂 I have a feeling this song is going to get a lot of play over the rest of the year. It feels like Billy hasn’t missed a beat as a songwriter in the last 30 years. What a treasure! Kudos to Freddy Wexler for convincing Billy to put Turn the Lights Back On out. Hopefully their collaboration will yield more great music! I do agree with the commenter who said it’s a shame that audience members have to keep chatting during the performance (loudly enough to be heard on video). Sad. I understand being excited and cheering and applauding, but . . . not carrying on a conversation.👎🏻
When I saw Billy in the 80s in LI, the audience was respectful and listened. When I saw Billy in the 90’s at MSG, the audience was disrespectful talking during his performance. Last concert I went to.
The record should've been performed how they did it live right here. Full band production. Sounded a lot better this way. Makes me wonder if Billy and/or the band caught wind of the guy who made the CZcams video "Turn the Lights Back On as if produced by Phil Ramone." And yes, I agree that the people in the audience needed to shut the hell up.
I think it's very disrespectful for people to be talking while Billy Joel is playing, especially a new song. Didn't they pay for the privilege to see him and couldn't they have waited for something they have heard 20,000 times.
The people's chatting seems loud bc they are the ones doing the video. It doesn't sound like this if you are sitting/standing in the audience. I don't think that you have to sit silently during a Billy Joel concert. It's a rock concert.
As the person who made this video, I can safely assure you I was not talking, nor were the people directly on either side of me. I was in the audience just like everyone else, and this chatter was coming from the rows behind me
@@tristanflynn4014I get that, but this song was less than two weeks old it’s not the same thing as him playing Vienna, the entertainer, only the good die young, etc. down a full step live. I love Billy either way.
I like it better a full step down. His vocals sound way more natural this way for his age. I like the Ray Charles/Joe Cocker embellishments he did at the Grammys and a little bit here. The lower key allows him to do that. I was shocked the song was in C when I heard the record.

@rossmcatasney8209 not even for pictures?
I agree. People need to shut the hell up and enjoy a show they paid big money to see.

Exactly!!
And the ones as well who think they can sing a song better. Stay home so others can enjoy.

Best played in front of fans, not an award show. Brilliant
I agree. Sounded a lot better with a full band production as opposed to the minimalist record we got.
I was at this very concert. It was great!
Thanks for posting! Great to see a big crowd reax. A shame some people can’t keep their damn mouths shut. That would drive me insane.

me too!!! Poor Billy :(((♥️!!!
If it wasn’t for all the people with attention deficit talking I could say this sounded better than the recorded version.
I loved, thank you very much tô share

Thank You Billy!!

Get back on that horse. You're missing out on a lot of great live music!
Outstanding

Never could have imagined that Billy would release another new song. I love it more and more every time I hear it.
Was at that concert! Great night and amazing show! Thank you.
That was wonderful!
Thanks for posting, Billy still incredible.
Thanks so much for posting this. Outstanding is an understatement
Muy favorite performer ever under any cirscumstaces
Ann & Bryan in the house!! 😁
I love it! Highly relatable, amazing as are all you songs! ❤️ you never disappoint!
I guess Billy will always be the piano man in that bar...people talking amongst themselves while the music sounds like a carnival.
It's missing Liberty Devito on 🥁.
British audiences have more respect for the artist than Americans do.
You guys don't have teeth and CAN'T talk during shows.
I've been to plenty of shows here in the UK where "fans" were talking too much! Phones out and talking too much seems to be the norm anywhere.

Probably millennials
Do people ever shut up and listen to the music?
Beginning or middle of the show?
5th
Why are people talking at a concert???
I don’t understand why Billy is writhing this song in C major but playing it live in another tune..

There’s another video without the chatter.
So bummed to hear it performed a full step lower, it’s just not the same song
Man's in his 70s. Chill.

@@KyleCourounisI agree I just wish that they had recorded it in B flat if that’s how he intended to perform it. I realize I’m nitpicking:)
Totally agree. Rude
I wonder why the audience is so noisy. What a pity.
Playing at MSG isn’t that special anymore for his fans -he’s always there withe same set etc no surprises 😢😢
This is literally a live debut…
