  • A simple DIY macrame anklet (ankle bracelet) with a beaded border and tie on ends. This tutorial is fairly straightforward and should be suitable for most abilities. For absolute beginners I recommend practising the basics of macrame knotting before attempting this pattern to avoid frustration/disappointment.

    Wow, these are really pretty. I think it would work as a necklace as well.

      Yes, you could make these as bracelets or necklaces too. You'd just need to alter the length of your cords and you'd need extra beads for a necklace. It might look nice with a pendant in the centre too...

      I did like this pattern. What colours are you going to do? I'm thinking of doing another one in purple 🙂

      I used black C-lon and silver filigree beads. It turned out nicely. I’m thinking of using shades of coral next.

      @@sallyblatchford1585 Black and silver sounds really nice, I might have to try those colours too. I tend to put black with purple or white for contrast but silver is a nice alternative. In fact I might do alternate purple and silver beads... I think that would look nice. 🙂

      objeXionable nice! I’ve also been thinking about alternating bead colors. You have to show us if you do that 😎

      I used 4mm glass beads for the blue anklet and pink 4mm plastic beads for the pink anklet.

    How did u finish it off? Magic ring or hardware??

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  Před 5 lety

      I did braided ends that tie on to fasten to the ankle, but you could use a different fastening if you wanted.

      It's nylon braidiing cord like this amzn.to/2JSsrNY

    It's coming spiral... How do u make it look straight

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  Před 4 lety

      The knot is worked in two halves. The first part should take the working cord over the top of the holding cord and the second half should work it underneath. If you do over the top (or under) both times, it will result in a spiral.
      This might help explain the method used better: czcams.com/video/nQDrJoIXuiU/video.html

      Taylor Buono I just tied these on with the braided tie ons with a regular double knot, the kind you'd begin with when tying a shoe lace.
