Absolutely! That's been one of the main issues of the show. There are many characters over the seasons whose fate we know nothing about. They didn't even need to appear, just a mention of their whereabouts would have been enough. I mean, the series was so much better in the first seasons, when all the characters had a fair amount of screentime.
Yes, especially Virgil, maybe there is a good reason but they just seemed to completely erase his existence, I think they could have added him to the deaths for more impact
