This was the golden era of sports games imo, especially for NFL games before EA got exclusive rights. Just so many amazing sports games in this generation.
Yeah it's kind of insane the competition between companies with sports game titles.
I’ve seen all from 1980-Now 2002 good times with Dreamcast PS2 Xbox and GameCube
I was a 2K and NCAA guy back in the day. But, when I got my Xbox, I got NFL Fever 2004. Graphically, it was leaps and bounds ahead of anything on the market. Gameplay was a blast. It’s a shame that it’s not available anymore.
Yeah, I've heard Fever 2004 is insanely good. I want to work my to it to see how football games progressed at the time but I'm excited to see where it goes.
I recently bought an OG Xbox and find your channel by accident. Watched few videos and subscribed. Glad that I found you
I'm glad you are enjoying it! Thank you for the sub!
We don't get many of these NFL games in Australia, but I really enjoyed NFL Blitz on the 360. If I saw one of these for cheap I would be tempted. There was an amazing Rugby League game on the original Xbox called NRL Rugby League that I forgot all about until I watched this, but I am definitely going to dig it out of the cupboard this weekend. NRL doesn't get much video game love, but they went all out on that one and smashed it.
I'm glad the review triggered some great memories. I've never tried a Rugby game before, but I'm sure its a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy your time returning to it.
Loving the variety of games you're covering!
Glad to hear it! I have a tough time playing the same games over and over so I tend to hop around to a lot of different things.
Keep up the amazing work my brother 🌹💯🤟🏿
Thank you!
I had both. I got my Xbox in 2001 because of nfl fever .
Glad I found this channel!
I'm glad you enjoy it!
I found a bunch of Xbox sports titles at a thrift store for 5 a piece but to my surprise Madden 09 is about a $50 game.
Yes!!! I found a page I know I'll enjoy. 💯✊🏾
I bought an Og Xbox mainly for NFL 2k. There are a wealth of subtleties that make these games much greater than their Ps2 counterparts. I’ve played Madden and NCAA on Xbox but I always found that they ran a bit smoother and controlled much more organically with the DualShock.
Never played Fever but I always wanted to give it a try. I know in particular the passing mechanics are quite praised from sim football enthusiasts but other than that very mixed.
All in all it was just beautiful to see several series ( NFL game day was another )competing against each other and really trying their best. We will likely never see this again. EA really sold their souls when they bought the exclusive rights to NFL games.
Thank you for the insight! I don't know a lot of the intricacies of football games so its nice to see some more depth into them. I'm excited to go through the football game catalogue though. I love that there is a choice in football games in the sixth gen, it was a time when football games were forced to innovate for competition.
@@campxboxno problem bro yeah I’ve always been a sports gaming person so I know quite a bit about the history of the genre. Don’t care for them now but I do have a lot of nostalgia for the good old days. I actually think I found your channel from your Tony hawk 2x review.
Keep up the great vids. Always look forward to them. Im a PS2 guy at heart but I have a lot of love and appreciation for the Xbox and still find it very underrated these days.
madden vs espn nfl 2k5 would be awesome!
Yeah Id like to see what was the best football games from each year eventually.
@@campxbox that would be an awesome series! Honestly 2k5 was so good it is still being compared to new maddens.
Sega Soccer Slam needs a look
Ill add it to the list! Thanks for the recommendation.
@@campxbox Nostalgic Eyes maybe talking but a 2player gem that may not be exclusive but was a Sega arcade sport’s title that stayed in that generation.
NFL 2k2!!
Will there be one on nfl street
Oh for sure, I'd love to do that!
Madden all the way. NFL fever reminds me of NFL 2k and that is just too boring for me.
