    Geometry: The basic building blocks of any simulation, geometry creation is one of the first steps in ANSYS Workbench.
    Meshing: This is the process of dividing the geometry into smaller elements, so that the software can perform calculations on them.
    Material Properties: These are the characteristics of the material that you want to simulate. You need to define the material properties before running a simulation.
    Boundary Conditions: These are the constraints that you want to apply to your simulation. For example, you can apply a temperature boundary condition to a surface, or fix the displacement of a particular point.
    Loads: These are the external forces or pressures that are applied to your simulation. For example, you can apply a force or pressure to a particular surface.
    Solver Settings: These are the settings that determine how the simulation is solved. There are many solver settings to choose from, depending on the type of simulation you are running.
    Results: Once the simulation is complete, ANSYS Workbench will generate a variety of results. You can view these results in different formats, including graphs, tables, and animations.

    Hi, in practical sense, the max stress will be on the top side of the bolt circle rather than ar the bottom. At the top, there will be compression and bottom will have minimal to no stress. So I guess, the support are to be defined correctly like the flat surface needs to flush against the wall or else, improper loading will occur. Correct me if I am wrong. Good video btw!

      If you want to import geometry from other modeling software, you need to do CAD Configuration.

    Sir, ive followed every step, I've made both the brackets and done the analysis as you've demonstrated. But, I'm not able to drag the solution into the new result tab on the project schematic. As soon as i I try to drag the solution cell, it shows a red cross with a circle. I use ansys 2021 r1 student version. Plz reply sir.

      I understand that you are trying to compare the results of two different cases. Instead of comparing in CFD post, you can do the same by having your own limits on the contours and compare the results. If I am not addressing your need, please feel free to contact.

      When you make the contour plot of deflection, you can see a scale on the left hand side where the dimensions [mm] for the corresponding colour will be displayed.

    • @MechTechSimulations
      @MechTechSimulations  Před 2 lety +1

      Of course we can do everything in Ansys. However, the static structural solver works within elastic limit [Stress is directly proportional to strain, based on Hookes law]. Nonlinear behavior of materials cannot be solved in "Static Structural Solver". It is possible with "Explicit Dynamics"
