  • In the last video I mounted the Camper Box onto my Isuzu FTS700 4WD truck. This video Ep23 shows the hard work that goes into permanently mounting the box onto the chassis rails. As you know from previous videos, I am using a rail on rail system and in this video I show you how I did it. Just remember alot more hard work goes on behind the scenes. I hope you enjoy this episode as a great deal of effort went into making these videos.

I apologize.. have not seen all your videos. Just came across them. What is the rubber unit you are using as a captured spring? Name I can search by? Does one of your videos cover why you chose that item over others manufactures or between versions by same manufacture?

Hi @coachgeo. ‘AEON’ distributed by Timbren. This is the company I dealt with. They are a Canadian company, but I used and Aussie distributor. I haven’t done a specific video of why I used except that I know most of the fire truck of that era in Australia used them. Here’s the link to get you started:

I decided to use a 6mm plate welded either side of the chassis rails instead, then I mounted the fixed chassis attachment which in itself also 8mm thick. I haven’t torqued them down yet, but
I believe they should be 248 ft/b at M16 gal. I’m keen to know what your thoughts are. Thanks for the comment.
