Most of these influencers had no intention to keep the vision pro. Now that original hype/views are over no way are they keeping a 4000 dollar device with very limited uses.
Yeah, bro is capping so hard lol. He just bought it for the views like the rest of them 🙄
So, I own a Vision Pro and I love it and I already am using it Productively.... That being said... I totally understand why he is returning it and it's an honest video. Not just a hater. I moved from Software Engineer to Management, and I use Vision Pro A lot. I never used my other VR devices enough....
But $4000 is a lot.
So, I also wear glasses. and I found that I could use the Vision Pro just fine without the Vision Inserts. And I also noticed my clicking on things were not as precise.
I decided to get the $150 insert just to get the clearest text I could get. Because My Mac seamed Blurry in Vision Pro.
When I installed my Vision Inserts it took me through a new Optical Alignment. And what I found was everything was very crisp now... but also the Clicking became more precise.
So, I think his clicking experience was because he didn't have the inserts.
What pro is it intended for? Not being passive aggressive or anything it’s just a real question I’ve been asking myself.
More than anything, I'm amazed at your repacking abilities.
it looked pretty on top but underneath it was a mess lol
When I went to the Apple Store, three people came in with their Vision Pro box looking to get a refund
That’s probably because they couldn’t resell it.
Same! I overheard the Apple employee saying that 25 people returned their AVP just in *one* day! But yeah, it just isn’t worth it for the price yet. I wish that there were more apps on it and that you could rearrange the apps.
🎶 track? It’s *Before Chill* by *Yomoti* - and yes we are THRILLED to be your trusted provider.

I love how honest this is. I totally get it ha. I'm gonna try to be patient with it and see where it goes.
yeah I kinda wish I kept it just to give it a chance. If I somehow get a windfall of $4k I'll buy it again haha
@@YourAverageTechBro update I did end up returning it a couple days after I typed this comment and I am glad. Huge Apple fanboy but I’m gonna sit on the sidelines for this one. Beautiful product and I truly love to see it, but I just had a lot of personal pain points (glasses wearer, headache issues, etc)
@@garrettunhinged totally understandable. Funny enough I actually ended up re-buying the headset because I missed having it haha. Do I use it every day? Definitely not. But still I like having it around
About to be there soon. Returning next week 😢
I agree with your hot take! Everybody always complains about how heavy vr headsets are. there not heaavy to me at all either! and i have the apple vision pro too. not taking mine back though.
0:26. And to think, it's only going to get better, and probably pretty quickly.
Is the vision Pro not using similar hardware to the macbook pro? I was under the impression they shared similar hardware???
imagine being the dude that returned a first gen AVP 10 years from now when they're worth 10x the price.
Better ROI buying apple stocks for the same price lol
The unopened ones will be valuable. The used ones will not be worth much.
So true
I would like to try coding. But I don't know how hard it is. I did make my own website once with html but never tried building code for a app
People are so dead wrong about this device. The capability has not yet been realized. I’ve seen some shit .. upcoming… that looks like memories … achieved with Gaussian splatting, but video . Forget 360 vr or 180 vr.. we’re talking 6 degrees of freedom to walk around in.. I’ve seen my home environment being changed by ai in real time .. turned my home into a dungeon while keeping the layout the same .. etc on and on
I don't understand, if 4000 dollars is too much for you to pay then why you bought it in the first place?
not that it's too much, but more of too much for what the device has to offer. I have no issue dropping that type of cash it's just that the product didn't provide me with $4k of value imo.
Thank you for your an honest presentation. Vision Pro is very exciting for lovers of special computing while in the Apple ecosystem. With a few software updates it will allow a smoother productivity experience.
can't run Xcode on it. Only one Macbook screen. That may be a deal breaker for me. No Alt+Tab
wasnt good for learning to code neither? i wanna watch youutbe code video or on udemy or ebook and code in the macbook window on avp. is that a working usecase?
That's a totally valid use case and I could see it being helpful. Do I think you really need the vision pro to learn to code though? Nah lol people have been learning to code just fine without it
I'm actually surprised that you can bring yourself to return it. I'm curious how many people will keep it verses return it. Perhaps Apple should be renting these out, like they used to with the original Macintosh.
Sony might be dropping something round the corner thats gonna change the ballgame, this probably a blessing 🙌🏾
Vision OS is based on iPadOS. That means it will NEVER be macOS unfortunately. I don’t think Apple wants to make this an all-in-one productivity machine.
Unfortunately I do think that is the case as well which makes the vision pro a harder sell for developers like myself. One can dream 😬
Bottom line, what is the highest price that would have met your value threshold to keep it, based on its current state of usability?
Around $2000 I would've kept it. I think once it starts going to $2500+ is when it starts to become really painful
@@YourAverageTechBro Agreed, $1999 is what I was thinking too, although for larger appeal, they are going to have to find a way to reach $1299... At $3499 for what it is, it's almost like Apple doesn't want people to keep it, that price feels like a deposit to test a prototype for them.
I guessed $2000 before clicking on the response. Interesting others said the same amount.
Nope.. Im keeping mine. But I’m sure some AR trend will make affordable if they announce a “Vision Pro Air” -> starting $999 with an M4 chip lower resolution with better FOV and an apple controller device (pencil) you can wave, click, point and connect to the new iPadOS, Phone remotely.
Nice feed back!
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree if it were a macbook replacement. I would buy one
You can’t afford it stop lying
no you should've given it to me!!1!!
Im really wondering what Apple is gonna do with all these returned units 🤔
Resell them and probably use it for market research
Most people are not returning it because they don’t like it, it’s because they can’t resell it and make a profit, trust me.
They think they’re slick
100% or they couldn't afford it in the first place but wanted to show off to people. Same trick as buying a fancy expensive dress for a party then leaving the tags on and returning it the next day =P
I live in MX, so I can't buy the device yet..., but I lived a similar process of illusion and progressive "back to reality" moments. I've been a VR user for 4 years (demos, gaming, movies, some development...) and I've been striving to find ways to integrate these devices into my work :(... The only reason I could have to buy a Vision Pro would be on the productivity side, but I see from the reviews and articles that the VisionOS is still too green (at least the Quest devices can end as fun toys without making me feel bad for my poor economic intelligence xD), as you mention, it is more an accessory right now..., I'd appreciate more integration with the MacOS, and some more PC SOs usability lessons implemented in the native interfaces.
6:56 it’s funny that this video pops up as I decide to also box up my Vision Pro. I also strangely feel like I’m doing something wrong in returning it but at the end of day- it’s uncomfortable and redundant. By the end of the day my face is just rejecting having this even touch my cheekbones. When I return the Vision Pro my life doesn’t change at all as most of the things it can do I can already do with all the other Apple products and displays I have
Breaking up with your Vision Pro 😂 How good does 4K back in your pocket feel? Now go. Find a rebound gal my dude.
This is so sad man, and right before Valentine’s day :(
idk how i'm gonna survive this valentine's day tbh gonna cry all day
Interesting
I’ve been thinking of doing the same. I’ve not been a fan of the developer experience and Apple doesn’t seem to respect their developers. Them charging $300 for the developer strap left a sour taste in my mouth. Especially now that I know I can’t use it for literally anything else.
yeah it's a tough call. if i had unlimited money i'd 100% keep it. unfortunately i do not have unlimited money lol
@@YourAverageTechBroits worth the hype but not worth the price
@@f8haus Yea, most aspects of their DX is a trainwreck. But they have the users who pay, so many devs and companies just tolerate it.
Hot take, everyone feels the same way about their vision pro, but most are past their 14 day return period 🤣
? They shouldn’t be it hasn’t been two weeks since release
It hasn’t even been out for 14 days
Your plan all along was to return it. You fake CZcamsrs are not fooling anyone
hope you have a good day mr paul revere 🫡
The Vision Pro being a companion to my computer is just one of the reasons I enjoy using it. More so, I find myself doing the same casual things I'd do on my computer or phone on the AVP instead. CZcams, social media, gaming, news, Amazon... It's all easy and more enjoyable to do on AVP than other devices. Other devices feel like a downgrade compared to it. I think it's pretty clear that you enjoyed it too, based on how you felt conflicted about returning it. Wouldn't be surprised to see you with one after saving up some extra cash.
yeah there's definitely a chance that I get one again once I get the cash haha
So you can do the same with a pico 4 and then use pico connect and it will connect to your Mac . 350 dollars
i like your content ...very original, i don't like that you hate Flutter
hahaha i don't hate flutter i promise
😂
I made my CZcams hype videos to make my CZcams money and now its time to return this piece of sh’t. But let me make some additional money on a “why im returning it” video.
I heard you can use the meta to design for the vision.
You shouldn't have to be Hercules to wear the headset. 🙄
I thought about it but I'll stick with the quest for now. More bang for your buck.
Just get a quest 3 I am dev and use quest 3 for dev build for quest 3 at 500$ so much digital goods
Come on man... Use the future tech until you get a legit feel for it in the day to day, and start seeing the opportunities...
Or if you fly & code a lot.
You're the most honest reviwer doing this kind of video. Most of them is something like "VR is not the future, blah, blah, blah"
Just say it was to much money for you
I mean if you watched until the end of the video I do call myself a broke boy so I kinda did say that
Because you did enough videos about this product hence now no more need and you don’t want to be holding a $3500 bag. You are like the people who try things on, wear the clothes with the tag and then return it all sweaty and nasty.
Noooooo don’t return it!
i miss it already sigh
Only noobs are flabbergasted by it….
Glad I'm not the only one who cares at repackaging stuff for a return seriously.
Apple fan boi breaking out of Matrix. Top G would be proud.
Tbh just buy a quest 3 instead lol
Kinda lame they only give you 14 days to return it… Apple is hoping most people will slip past the return period 😂
Lame.
