This cashew cheese is my favorite! It goes well with crackers or on toasts. Easy to make and all ingredients are pantry-friendly. It is healthy, gluten-free, oil-free, and plant-based! Let me know if you give it a try!

I made 2 delicious little cheeses using the following measurements that I deduced from watching this video and her sunflower seed cheese video:
1/2 cup of cashews (soaked overnight)
Rinse and add to food processor together with;
1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1/2-1 teaspoon of ACV
1 tablespoon of water
Juice of half a lemon
And grind to a paste.
In a pan, add 1/2 cup of water and 1 teaspoon agar agar powder (or 3 teaspoons agar agar flakes) . Cool slightly. Add the cashew cream and combine. Pour in moulds and cool in the fridge for 1-2 hours.Roll cheese in rosemary or black sesame seeds. Thank you!

My first attempt on your vegan cheese didn't work out so well, I think I did something wrong with the measurements, probably with the amount of agar or water (it still tasted amazing but it wasn't firm enough) but luckily I just tried it again and it turned out AMAZING! I love it so much and it slices so well :) I had it with some pumpernickel bread, tomatoes and basil. thank you so much for the amazing recipe! :)

Can I use pine nuts to make cheese??
Hi. How much water is added to the ingredients for blending? For agar powder, it's 1/2 cup of water. But the spoonful of water added to the ingredients as shown in the early part of the video is not written. Thank you.

Can you substitute agar powder with something else?
Hi! Try my mozzarella recipe if you don't have agar powder! It has a similar taste but uses a different ingredient to stay solid.

I guess you can't really use probiotic capsules or rejulevic in this recipe if you're also going to use the agar for thickening

I wanna try it so bad, but for me isn't clear the amount of chasew to be used. Half cup can vary on the cup i use...
it’s a standarized system of measurement so half cup means 125ml!
can you age the cheese?
Between this and the sunflower cheese, which do you prefer?
I really couldn't choose, I love them both. haha
I think an important part (which isn't clear) is how much water to use while boiling the Agar.

vegan fuel No more questions jist delicious cheese. Great recipe! Worked perfectly. I added smoked Peprika and and liquid smoke and it gave it a really good smoked flavor! Thanx again! I'll be making this for the holidays.
