I got the misprint album that is from the 2nd press in 67 form a big grab from my buddies dad's collection. Didn't know what it was but it looked cool and it looked like I needed it. I told him what it was and he congratulated me.
That’s awesome!
@@ForeverAnalog I am still trying to wrap my head around that fact that I didn't have a collection 6 months ago and now I have one of the most desired albums out there
Awesome find.Taking advantage? No way. It’s on the buyer to know what they are selling. Most people overprice these days. Scoring deals like this is what I live for!
My best haul lately was a bunch of jazz- absolutely pristine NM archive quality Mono first pressings of several Miles Davis albums- Kind Of Blue, Someday My Prince Will Come and more along with some Thelonious Monk at an estate sale for $2 each. I’ve been hunting for all of those forever, I’m not selling them, and even if I was I wouldn’t feel bad.
Awesome finds! I wonder if people that tell me I should go back and pay the seller more would go back to a record store and do the same if they found a rare record for a great price because it can happen there too. Ha. Thanks for watching!
Rad! Great video!! I acquired my copy from a collection sight unseen, I was so happy when I saw it.
That’s the best feeling for sure! Thanks for watching!
It is not your fault that people don’t know value of records. If others don’t like it tough. I bought a batch
Of records one time for 1/2 of what you paid, one of them was a $100 record. I wasn’t sure but I knew the
Records were worth far more than I paid.
Thats crazy.
I have reissue of that and will always be on lookout for the original
The hunting is my favorite part!
I have an original stereo copy that looks like a G+ and still plays great. Great find!
Awesome. It’s such a great record. Thank you for watching!
I have one that I bought in 1969 or 70.
Awesome
You purchased it in a lot. Nothing to feel bad about. For me, I know when I'm about to "take advantage" of someones lack of knowledge. It is up to me at that point to do the right thing. One example is an elderly couple was getting rid of a reel to reel deck that I wanted. While I was buying the deck they asked me if I wanted to look through some records that they were going to take to a Goodwill. In the stack of records they had a 1st press ( US ) Beatles White Album. They said I could have it for a buck. I wanted to grab it so bad but I just couldn't do it. What I did do is give them the info on what the record was, so they could make an informed sale. I already had a few copies of that record, just not one as valuable. They were grateful for my help! That was all I needed. BTW, I do not know what happened to that White Album. I hope they got more than I buck for it.
Great story, thank you!
Great buy well done.
Thank you for watching!
@@ForeverAnalog thanks it was interesting.
I picked up my Elevators Radar UK copy fairly cheap......happy.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Do you buy art rock posters from the 60s, 70s, and 80s?
I have before, yes. Depends on the artist and condition!
What does OG stand for
Original pressing (not a modern day reissue)
I'll give you 12 for it lol.
Just kidding. Nice score man! Very nice score. It's between 400 to 600 for a VG+
Ha! This sounds like an eBay negotiation! Hilarious. Thanks for watching.
@@ForeverAnalog Always like seeing people having luck in the wild. With Ebay etc it's gotten so much harder but luck still does happen. Again congrats!
not very honorable to know the value and pay the guy peanuts
people that say 'you took advantage' are just jealous crybabies that want to drag you down..
