Ambassador Sharon Bar-li, the Deputy Director General and Head of the Africa Division at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided an in-depth overview of the complexities and current realities governing the relationship between Israel and African nations in the aftermath of the Hamas October 7 onslaught and the Israeli operation in Gaza.
The lecture was part of the session on the Israel and Africa: Challenges & Opportunities Post October 7, at the "Africa and Israel: Building Strategic and Economic Bridges" conference held on July 2, 2024, at Tel-Aviv University. The conference is a collaboration between the S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies at Tel-Aviv University, the Israel-Africa Relations Institute (IAI), and the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS).
