As long as Maoris keep playing the victim they will never progress. Gang members are anti-social criminals who are treated with kid gloves by the Police. Maoris are not disadvantaged or marginalized by NZ society, they are in that position because of an inability to accept personal responsibility for their own lives. Gangs are a modern version of the inter tribal wars that raged between different tribes long before the arrival of the British. To try an imply that trauma from "colonisation" which occurred back in 1840 is the cause of the gang problem is simply ludicrous.
All NZ's problems are caused by Maori's huh mate? It is racist ill informed ignorant tool-bags like you that are the real issue with NZ.
They should all go to Aussie. Everybody know Maori do 10x better there.
@@avpr1574 Yes, I have been living in Australia for two years. I have a relative in his 20's ( part Maori ) who moved from NZ to Australia 5 years ago to escape the gang culture in his family. He has a high paying job and is building a good future in Australia. By working hard and achieving he is advancing himself through his own effort.
Warwick is Samoan.
@@leacowley6081 Same argument applies. Maori or Pacific Islander, if they want to advance themselves they must take personal responsibility to do so.
What a weak kneed Prime Minister...
Really appreciate your journalism Jack 👍
Thanks Jack, how these gang members get their luxurious lifestyles.
Ngà mihi kia Jack Haki Tame mo nga korero tika me te pono ... Tau ke!
Stopping gang patches doesn't stop gang culture.... Hit the money source I think we know what that is....
As a Kiwi living in Aussie it is so sad to see how much my country has changed in the past few years 😔. Jack asks the question why should society put up with this ? We all had trauma as children this does not mean we all end up in gangs! It’s starts with your upbringing .. end of ! How your Mother raises you .. teaches you to have pride in yourself.. teaches you right from wrong.. teaches you to work hard to get what you have .. teaches you to be independent so as not to need to belong to a gang to get strength .. Where is this all going to end ? OMG 😳 NZ what is going wrong ? 🤔 Take a step back & start with the Families… look at how the children are being raised !!😕
If you had a clue you be could be dangerous, but seeing your "Kiwi living in Aussie" maybe you should just tie me kangaroo down sport and keep your 2 cents of BS to yourself, while we that live here try to deal with the crap moulded by your Govt.
yo all this stuff has been happening for decades? gangs arent new lol
Unfortunately most members in the gangs were already raped of their childhood when state care decided they knew best and unfortunately that is the reason why there was no aroha given being taken away from their mothers who couldn't encourage the goodness in them ... Thanks to government agencies formed waaayy back in the 50z 60z 70z 80z n 90z ... Today they're known as CYFS in 2000. Gov changed name from Child Youth Family Services to Oranga Tamariki because the Gangs are made by Aotearoa 😂
@@GumballEdits Gangs up over 100% under Labour. What an achievement.
Jacks right there actions are intimidating so beggs the question why they need to do thoes actions at a funeral
Well they aren’t a christian outreach group.
There is no solution to gang tensions their will always be rival gang differences between mongral mob and Black Power their have been korero on a lot of topics in relations to rival tensions its all about power and control, intimidation, leadership, there are chapters who show up to put on a public events to give back to society that's really awesome to see these organized events giving back to society reassuring public the safety of these children events as gang members get older they seem to get wiser and more relaxed to many older member it may change the views on gang tensions but it's the new generations of new members who are eager to show off their loyalty, whanau, chapter crime statistics increase so when we talk about looking at how to stop the tensions between gangs this will never cease due to their chapter policies, obligations, and duties, members will always show full respect to their chapter but as soon as rival tention permit deaths, tangihana, mourning of our loved one tragically taken by gang violence and tensions
Got a link showing these events?
Phew, the world's longest sentence lol

So your the person whose house is burning down and complains the firefighters are using chlorinated water.
I agree Warwick Godfery: comments. I wish that the NACTs stop all their get tough noise, as they haven't got a clue what they are talking about nor solutions on how to fix the issues.
A wise man.
Nothing wise about him. He seems to offer nothing but excuses for the gangs and tries to blame all contentions on “racism” seems a very weak minded individual.

💯 bro. Get off your backsides and change
You can't THE END..... It's like trying to stop a person from farting. It ain't gonna happen. So learn to live with them.
Rawiri Waititi needs to go back to school, he doesnt know his history, And all his rascist remarks are idiotic.
NZ's first Mongrel Mob MP. Guy is a clown and is trying to play to the Maori narrative. Sad reality is most Maori won't even fill out the census let alone get vaccinated when it need to be done or vote. Clueless drongos.
No one takes that brown clown seriously... what an egg
This og is guessing
The new drum bearing from the right is to go back to more incarceration, is the new crime wave due to harder living standards or softer approaches to crime?
Would not harder living conditions lead to more crime?
If the end result of a persons life is “ they’re in a gang spreading misery”, then should we not try and break that cycle as a society?
Is incarceration at the end of it all the solution rather than trying to stop the causes?
How far back do you go to see where the problem started? Is it the disenfranchisement of a group of people?
Is it ok for one partner of an agreement that represents 2% of the population to ask for 50/50 rights and ownership of a country, then years later when they represent 80% of the population to ask for that 50/50 to be more like 80/20 in their favour?
