While I love how this song sounds, it kind of seems insensitive to release a song called Hostage when many families in Israel and Palestine right now are waiting for their loved ones who were taken hostage by the other country to return home, and some families are finding out their loved ones were killed and will never come home.... idk...
umm.. no… this song is about being hostage to your own thoughts, it has nothing to do with that. saying this is being disrespectful to her music and art

Music doesn’t hold a political stance it’s here to bring us closer and to push us further it’s insensitive to talk about any war when the worlds children are entrapped in slave labor and human trafficking tragedy is everywhere music heals us let it be
My heart pours to the Middle East but to turn a song that can take some people to a more positive place and projecting torture is the opposite message of what this music passes… listen to Maggie and become more hopeful for the future this is no place for the message that you’re conveying… and that’s my opinion and I stand on it
