Baba Obey is still the best juju musician so far.
Beside KSA. Baba Obey is great but no other person beats KSA. KSA is the only complete entertainer. Apart from the music itself, KSA's stage control, agility, movement, dance steps and costume is second to none. Then talk of guitar playing, who will beat KSA. But when it comes to singing philosophy, I dolf my hat for Baba Obey
My question is what Ebenezer Obey did for his golden veterans band members who had been with his organization in the 70s till 80s, absolutely nothing. Some of these people are died poverty.
Was he not paying them their salaries.

Your question is premised on the fact that you've already taken side with the so called veterans. One of my friend's brother while i was in school was one Sunny Ade's band boy that went to Japan with KSA in the eighties. I know for fact that the brother came back with allowances of $15,000 dollars from that trip and he ended marrying three wives with many children. I watched one of the interview that the said brother granted where he was complaining about how badly KSA treated him. The fact is that some of them did not invest for the future, they thought the party would continue for ever.

At the end of the day, everyone is responsible for whatever happens to them. How responsible were a lot of those veterans back then? The young ones today are living the same lifestyle the said veterans lived. Trust me, I know a lot of what's going on the inside.

Ebenezer Obey should stop stressing himself at this age. He needs rest otherwise his health will be deteriorating very fast.

Baba is singing with Passion, No one can take it away from him, He smiles and enjoy it, thank God he is sitting down now , He too is wise , the occasions he can't attend one of his son's will go I think

Baba Obey can never be stressed with music. Keeping him off music is more than stress. Baba is deriving pleasure from musics & am definitely happy wt it. I as a person as one of his addicted fans am always happy seeing Baba in ds joyous mood. REMEMBER, HIS FANS ARE ALWAYS HAPPY SEEING HIM. BABA OBEY IS A LIVING LEGEND UNDOUBTEDLY
You can only understand why he's still singing if you have seen him live. Trust me, he's got old body but a new engine. We recorded a show recently at Victoria Island and I still felt like I've seen him play before. He's that good. Anyway, he's probably going to retire soon.
