"Religion did not save me, Jesus did. He met me where I am" I actually cried when you said this. This is so true for me, I once didn't believe in Jesus and felt no worth, my depression pulled me down to rock bottom, it overwhelmed me then lost the will to live. I wasn't save when I went to church nor by listening to the priest. I was just in my bed wallowing in despair and called for this "Jesus" they praise because I had no one to turn but him even though I doubted he even existed, I also didn't want to add more problems for my family. And so since then I got like, this voice inside my head every day, guiding me when negative thoughts tries to drown me. It's like a clash inside of my head everyday, until I tried helping myself by the guide of the voice. When I went to church again, one step inside I felt the connection and cried, He saved me.

This was so relatable to me. Naiinggit ako dun sa mga ka-religion ko kasi they fulfill every rules in the church samantalang ako, parang pilit pa and it's really heavy in the heart kapag hindi ko nagagawa yon. I once asked myself why don't I feel him? Why don't I feel he's always by my side? Bakit hindi ko maramdaman ung presence nya just like in other people? Dahil ba I don't fulfill his words? I don't go to church often? So I was losing hope but, I once wished na gumaling ako from my sickness, Later the other day nawala yon. I felt better. And then when I asked him to give my friend a person who will make her happy and spend good memories, two persons came in her life. I swear, nahihiya na kong magpray sakanya and ask for an apology to all my sins but, He still does. kahit na paulit ulit akong nagkakasala. I agree Kuya, kasi based on my past experiences, I experienced conflict between 2 religions which in turn, napalayo ako kay Lord, and since then, napagtanto ko na sometimes religion destroys our relationship with God because we are living up to their expectations and not living for the Lord.

I read this one post about why atheists exist and what can we learn from them. To summarize it: atheists don't rely on prayers or wishes for good fortune and a good day. Even if someone had been struck with a catastrophe, they don't say: "I will pray to God to help you." instead, "I will help you."(imagine if there's no God in this situation). He/she donates and helps someone in need because he/she truly cares for humans, not some religious teaching told them to do so.

AMEN! One religion reached out to me and that was when I started really having a relationship with God, but the same religion caused me to reject the idea of religion for the same reasons that were said in this video. That however made me want to know more of God and connect to him more personally than just being told to. Religion felt more of a division at least for me, and it is from God’s love for the sinner that I am where I felt whole. Really thank you for this video. The comments section is AWESOME. I always felt like an outsider and that I am to be reprimanded of my view on religion. I always feel that I’m already branded as a “backslider” as per the people of that religion’s term. I just could not explain that they are suffocating me, that I could not be perfect in a way that they demand me to be. It felt like even if I explain myself that I am striving to keep my relationship with God alive and that I do love God, they would still brand me because I’m not a member of their religion and that really hurts because they are my friends and I know that we love the same God. Religion is not the actual problem because it is supposed to be a congregation of God’s love, the members of the religion were the actual problem exalting religion when God himself came down for the sinners.

One day, all people will point their fingers to the Church saying "You lied to us! You said God only justify good people." because the truth is that Jesus fulfilled the Law (all religion stuffs) for us. God is righteous to justify the ungodly through Jesus Christ.

This was so relatable to me. Naiinggit ako dun sa mga ka-religion ko kasi they fulfill every rules in the church samantalang ako, parang pilit pa and it's really heavy in the heart kapag hindi ko nagagawa yon. I once asked myself why don't I feel him? Why don't I feel he's always by my side? Bakit hindi ko maramdaman ung presence nya just like in other people? Dahil ba I don't fulfill his words? I don't go to church often? So I was losing hope but, I once wished na gumaling ako from my sickness, Later the other day nawala yon. I felt better. And then when I asked him to give my friend a person who will make her happy and spend good memories, two persons came in her life. I swear, nahihiya na kong magpray sakanya and ask for an apology to all my sins but, He still does. kahit na paulit ulit akong nagkakasala. Maybe you're right Kuya Jek, God doesn't see us in our past but his children that is precious to him. It's really not in the religion, but in the relationship.💕
We love Him because He first loved us. He hates sin but He loves the sinners. That’s us.

I agree Kuya, kasi based on my past experiences, I experienced conflict between 2 religions which in turn, napalayo ako kay Lord, and since then, napagtanto ko na sometimes religion destroys our relationship with God because we are living up to their expectations and not living for the Lord.

I read this one post about why atheists exist and what can we learn from them.
To summarize it: atheists don't rely on prayers or wishes for good fortune and a good day. Even if someone had been struck with a catastrophe, they don't say: "I will pray to God to help you." instead, "I will help you."(imagine if there's no God in this situation). He/she donates and helps someone in need because he/she truly cares for humans, not some religious teaching told them to do so.

AMEN! One religion reached out to me and that was when I started really having a relationship with God, but the same religion caused me to reject the idea of religion for the same reasons that were said in this video. That however made me want to know more of God and connect to him more personally than just being told to. Religion felt more of a division at least for me, and it is from God’s love for the sinner that I am where I felt whole. Really thank you for this video. The comments section is AWESOME. I always felt like an outsider and that I am to be reprimanded of my view on religion. I always feel that I’m already branded as a “backslider” as per the people of that religion’s term. I just could not explain that they are suffocating me, that I could not be perfect in a way that they demand me to be. It felt like even if I explain myself that I am striving to keep my relationship with God alive and that I do love God, they would still brand me because I’m not a member of their religion and that really hurts because they are my friends and I know that we love the same God. Religion is not the actual problem because it is supposed to be a congregation of God’s love, the members of the religion were the actual problem exalting religion when God himself came down for the sinners.
