  • Hey guys we made a ti-leaf lei and we didn't realize some of you may not have ti-leaves to work with so here's another lei to try.
We used satin ribbon about 1/2 inch wide. The method was basically criss- crossing the ribbon back and forth.

    That is really pretty!
I lived in Hawaii in 1968. My mother found directions, to sew ric rac, and 8mm pearl beads, into a lei, but I was too young to try and never found the directions in her things. Do you have a pattern for this, and if so, would you do a tutorial?

For the candy Lei you can make it with cellophane or we could recommend using netting.
Next time we go to the store we can pick some netting up and make a Vid. Don't know when though.

***** Sorry we missed that part. When you are done, you must tie the ribbon together in a knot. Then you make a separate simple bow and tie it in to the end of your lei. Cut off any extra ribbon you don't want on it. Hope you have a great day. Thanks for watching:)
