Bro, you have reach, you have a whole platform! If I was you, I would put it out there! “Who wants to finish the 57?!” Who wants to be the one to get the 57 on the streets? And give them a deadline! You get your car finished, and their shop gets recognition! 🤷🏽♂️
I see you Cali. Folks, keep your groove going. On tat Box clear coat and chrome. It has that "rat" look but let the chrome pop! Under the hood in the jewelry box looking like Cartier! It was looking pretty Saucy on them Golds and Vogues. Gold and Brown is a winner!! Keep pushing. I enjoy your motion.
Hey my brother, building these cars can really be a headache, trust me i know you have to keep your foot on these shops neck, looking at your vert box makes me miss my 87 box i built from the ground up about 20yrs ago. Alot of it was me putting my hands on it but that was the fun part of building it and i learned alot. I dont always comment but keep grinding and coming with the fire videos bro. Much love from San Diego💯✌🏾
Keep on going, I see where you're going. It's more classic now and I'm sure when you get done with it. Keep on showing us Lilbro. Anything you touch always turn to gold ✨️ 🫡
Me personally from playing with cars with my bro as a lil kid to bikes, R/C. Both my brothers are mechanics, My dad taught be body work and paint. We just have fun and enjoy each other’s company like family. From blood sweat and tears, putting in the work on cars. I see it, I see the vision. Can’t wait to see it finished CB. I would give it a gloss finish if the body was straight but a matte finish to keep the look👌🏽 do you bro✌🏼
Man Im glad your doing something different with the box chevy! Theres a mllion people on here painting them and another million people doing patina on older cars like 70s and older, your actual doing a newer 80s car that people wouldnt expect to be purposely done in patina and thats different
Hey Caliboi. This looking good, i just started working on my classic alone and trying to figure it out as i go as well. Im over trying to impress anyone, we cant satisfy everyone on this earth. As long as it makes you happy keep doing you. Always remember your a Leader and not a follower. Looking forward to the next videos 🫡
I'm enjoying the videos and I love the direction of the box vert. Sorry you don't have any updates on the 57 vert. Keep doin you kid.... Can't wait till the next one...... much ❤️ to you n your family sir
If you have some shiny spots that you aren’t happy with you can use some grey scotch bright to dull that area down. I’m no longer a fan of high gloss clear over patina. There are other options if you want to preserve the patina and add some sheen. I used Sonax Polymer Net Shield paint sealant on my patina 62 Impala. Looking forward to the progress. 😎
Not a Patina fan but every car guy has a vision , I’m here to see the finished product … Though my personal opinion was the option you originally had for the 🐔 box
I like what you’re doing bro, never did it myself my bro always wanted too do a C10 like that, I do think I like the clear patina though but I trust your vision 🫡
ITS YO TIME BRODIE, Clear ova patina Polish the trim Spokes and vogues Redo the caddie interior burgundy or brown redish to match patina 2 15s AC Tint LED Headlights. Yo 57 gon drop hold ya head Big Dawg 🏁🏁🏁
Just keep pushing with it let’s see it thru. I see your vision and looking forward to seeing something different and not a cookie cutter build. I’m always a fan of the one off builds. I’m must say I did jump with that explosion 😅
Never had a Petina car, but I think would look better with out the clear. But the clear would prevent it from rusting further I think. I do follow your vision, I can see what you are going for. Keep it up!
Wet sand the entire car with 320 wipe with lacquer thinner, have some one enhance The “rust” with some air brushing effects then clear coat. Shiny chrome or gold would make that earth tones. Pop specially that top ( My opinion)
I think if you polish the trim it will look like patina is intentional, as opposed to rag project with rims on it definitely like the OG patina versus the clearcoat look
There's some cats in the patina matching game that can do the same thing with paint, texture and all, to get it to match but they be damn near like paying real paint prices to get it done lol. Jerome Boris near Cleveland OH is a bearst with patina. Look him up. Ive aged panels the same way you did it. Looks good, you just gotta let it do its thing. Lastly, i say no clear coat. It will continue to yellow under the clear. It may not do it to you but it will don it eventually
Cali. I got love for you bro and hope to meet you some day since we both are in Cali but bro... Can you finish the 57? Take it somewhere else. I'll help you find a shop to get it completed I know a few places. If you sell the 57 whoever gets it is going to have it completed in 1 or 2 months bet! Paint the Chicken box thr same color as the 57 on 28s. Don't give up bro just give up on the lame ass builders.
I fuck with what your doing bro I’ve never done a patina ride, but looks like your getting the right look with the way your doing it I see the poppys patina ad a lot for the patina c10s with that glossy patina
What’s up caliboy? You have some bad ass cars . I also like your visions on your current builds-I was just wondering what ever happened to the King Kong donk with NHRA chassis?
Chrome poppin, tires wet, dull paint, clear windows, you could always put some dirt on a damp rag and* wash it*??, just an idea from driving my truck back and fourth from the farm . Blessings
Okay, okay. I would go with the clear coat and big wheels with an LS. Yet, it would be different as a lowrider with cheese balls and all the chrome shining.
New to patina, but I feel like I can see your vision in a way, definitely leave it flat, seems like clear coating patina defeats the purpose Love the content big dawg ! Keep going 💪
I do my fare share of patina work. I would use 1500-2000 grit wet sand paper and wet sand the whole car. Use a DA sander or if sanding by hand use a pad behind your paper so you don’t get finger marks on the body. It does two things it cleans up all dirt, oxidization, those drip run marks and leaves the good rust you want ect, and two it gives the car a nice satin sheen especially if you use 3000 grit after the 1500-2000. After that I would spray wax the car just for protection and so it feels good to the touch. If you clearcoat it IMO it looks like your trying to hard for the patina look. I can hook you up with more info if need be🤙🏼
No I’m not feeling the chicken box but hey do yo thang seems like it’s more therapeutic for you than anything, and I don’t know how you dealing with the 57 so patiently I’d be acting a fool. Ol boy ain’t sick he just avoiding you…, Hope things end on a positive note with that situation.
What they say is there really aren't any rules for patina. But I think the fresh chrome might really make it stand out. The gloss clear over patina looks off to me every time I see it. Flat 100%
Bro, you have reach, you have a whole platform! If I was you, I would put it out there! “Who wants to finish the 57?!” Who wants to be the one to get the 57 on the streets? And give them a deadline! You get your car finished, and their shop gets recognition! 🤷🏽♂️
You right bruh what’s sad is I want my guy ego started it to finish it but this last year so well see
@@Adaywithcaliboy I feel you! They’re doing an amazing job on it, so I definitely get it bro!
Im glad you're having fun with it. I think this type of build is exactly what you needed after dealing with the struggles of Midlife Crisis
For real 💯
Bro, you got me with the explosion. I kinda flinched.
Keep on Pushing
🤣🤣🤣💯
Caliboy always got the 🔥 content 👍🏽

Love what you’re doing G🫡 , I’m a fan of both clear coat on patina and dry and I’m also learning as I watch.
Preciate
I restore cars, and I like what you’re doing with that in particular car. Specially with the brown top the patina looks good keep going.

Right lol
I see and know where you going with it. I like the Flat clear, BUT, the gloss clear with the shiny chrome will make the statement.
Really? I hate gloss over patina but we will see 😎
@@Adaywithcaliboy just because it will show that it was done on purpose. Cause you know we like Shiny stuff. LoL 🤣
Keep getting it done! Do what you like 👍! It's actually coming along great.
Clear coat yeeee ummm with that chromey 🤣👍
Lol
Clear coat on patina and chrome popping 💯💯💯

I thought you was whipping up a new batch of crystal lol….. But love the wheels for the 72
Not a Patina fan but every car guy has a vision , I’m here to see the finished product … Though my personal opinion was the option you originally had for the 🐔 box
💯🦅
Dude I'm so interested in this build. Keep the patina vision going. Maybe a mat clear coat.
Yeah I’m thinking may too thank you
Them gloves you busted out were funny af super random lol😂
Chrome with patina, flat clear or satin clear not super glossy.I dig it gonna look dope!!
Rust out the 26's with a raw metal lip
I like what you’re doing bro, never did it myself my bro always wanted too do a C10 like that, I do think I like the clear patina though but I trust your vision 🫡
Not much into patina but very interested in seeing how this comes out. I think it would look good cleared
Don't worry about it man just do your thing
Boiled linseed oil is mostly used more than clearcoat to preserve the patina look.
Interesting…keep it movin my bro. You doin you👏🏽💪🏽🫡
🙏🏾🦅🦅
I’ve seen it done before, nice with clear on it.
Looks like you need to hire me to manage your build...Lol
ITS YO TIME BRODIE,
Clear ova patina
Polish the trim
Spokes and vogues
Redo the caddie interior burgundy or brown redish to match patina
2 15s
AC
Tint
LED Headlights.
Yo 57 gon drop hold ya head Big Dawg 🏁🏁🏁

Clear coat to protect the metal
I see your vision!
Salute fam .. keep doing yo thang 🫡
I see what you doing CB so what I see and what I think would be dope. If you can make that rag look worn out also, I think that’ll be dope.
Oooooo I ain’t thought bout that 🤔🤔🤔🤔 damn I paid for that new new lol
Love patina clear coated and chorme on patina
I think if you polish the trim it will look like patina is intentional, as opposed to rag project with rims on it definitely like the OG patina versus the clearcoat look
I see what your saying 💯
I don't personally care for patina jobs. No negativity or hate but I really don't think that's the way to go with this vehicle.
Rember you said this on end result 😎🐐
I don't think the car is an old enough classic for that
I got it. What about a medium gloss or satin. Right in the middle of flat and gloss
🔥Most definitely see the vision a tub will be sick if u was going big lips on the back, hot rod but still Cali street 💯
There's some cats in the patina matching game that can do the same thing with paint, texture and all, to get it to match but they be damn near like paying real paint prices to get it done lol. Jerome Boris near Cleveland OH is a bearst with patina. Look him up.

I love patina on the square body c/10's but a drop top patina box on 6's would be a game changer. 🫡
Its different and dope your in your own lane
Yes sir !!!

Just go with the Raw patina look carnal👊🔥🔥
Keep doing it the way you want to do it and clear coat to Patina and the trim replated
Clear coat and patina. Show more!
Man I’d have to do the engine up in the box Chevy. Even if you’re wanting the rustic look nobody wants to break down.
w/ chrome, raw & dry 👌
with the interior & engine bay as nice as you can make it for a budget build🤙
💯💯💯
Chrome trim and clear coat over the paint. Hard!
You clean
My boy cali boi 😂 💪
WOW 😳💯👀
sick rims
Dem spokes & vogues wit da patina so u can enjoy da ride
I like patina with tha clear on it.. and I think tha chrome would look good with it too.. just my opinion.. do what you want..

Facts!! Preciate you bro
The clear coat was going to protect the patina and not let it rust more or roster definitely clear coat on it 💯

Like what you doing your no man i been watching for a while brother
I like this Rag Boxx
But I have a question
On the inside are you going 2k with it
The car not bad.
Ya dig ya dig
Clear coat for me. Without its more rat rod
Do the mat clear and chrome the trim.
Anodized might go better than chrome with the Patina…grind down the welds too
I found me a 1973 Chevy caprice classic vert trying to get on the donk game
I watched a video of a dude that took his old school 1950 something to Mexico. I believe he was getting bodywork and hydro's done.
About that life hydraulics, one-stop shop Arizona.
💯💯💯✌
No I’m not feeling the chicken box but hey do yo thang seems like it’s more therapeutic for you than anything, and I don’t know how you dealing with the 57 so patiently I’d be acting a fool. Ol boy ain’t sick he just avoiding you…, Hope things end on a positive note with that situation.
That rendering looks dope you should just knock it out finish it up
U here in vegas my boii?
I would take dude to court behind the 57 bro
No one likes it dry. LOL!! But for the patina that dry looks good.
Right dry looks legit and authentic to me
What they say is there really aren't any rules for patina. But I think the fresh chrome might really make it stand out. The gloss clear over patina looks off to me every time I see it. Flat 100%
Oh yea I forgot... Keep that Classic dry Lilbro....
I wanna see your vision bro
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Not pocket watching or anything but did u pay for all the work ahead of completion u knw how some shops do
It would look hella hard if it had a blue barrel
Handel your's you know what a real Lowrider is. It's what You Invision not anybody else bro stick to that patina.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Dry patina with chrome..
