      Hi there!
Reading your message put a big smile on my face.
It reminded me 2 verses from the Quran:
Holy Qur’an, al-Anfal 24: “O you who believe! Respond to God and to the Messenger when the Messenger calls you (in the Name of God) to that which gives you life, and know well that surely God "intervenes" between a person and his heart (to cause his heart to swerve); and that He it is to Whom you will be gathered.”
Holy Qur’an, al-An’am 125: So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam
It seems like Allah is guiding your heart!

@@hannahlights2916 thank you for sharing that information. I have been wearing a niqab out to the stores since March of this year. I have been getting a lot of looks at first, then when COVID-19 was in full force people were more at ease. I even had a lady ask me where I got mine from. I am going to be wearing this niqab for a while. I am not completely sure why women wear it, but I know in biblical times women were covered up. Thanks for responding.

A khimar in arabic is a covering. Like a covering for the floor, table, window. It’s a physical covering of something. The aya says to strike a covering over their pockets. The term pockets is used because it has a physical and psychological meaning. God didn’t use the term breast or chest deliberately.
The Koran never talked specifically about hair covering. That’s what we humans made it.
The interpretations nowadays about the Koran, and not only about the hijab, are really worrying.
The hijab has been materialised. The Koran has been materialised. This is really concerning. I really hope muslim women start to open this discussion, because after all, they are wearing the symbol of the materialised Islam. It’s time to go back to the essence of Islam, and to fulfil our journey in this world as was asked by God, not by sheiks that are imposing interpretations that are dividing us, and are leading is to an earthly existing.

That is worldly beauty my dear. If you really love those dresses and hair for YOURSELF. you can just dress like that at home with your mehrams. Please know that this beauty is given to you by Allah and then it's Allah's command for you to cover it. It's a test for you if you love Allah more or this worldly beauty more. The beauty standard is created by humans. But the beauty standard of Allah is that you cover it but also you can enjoy your hair and beautiful ( modest) dresses with your husband, father, children and brothers and other women. The ones that really matter. May Allah make it easy for you. Ameen

Omg the being hot, THE FEELS!!! I have chronic illnesses that make being hot VERY dangerous for me. The biggest advice is wearing the right fabrics! Don’t wear a thick cotton scarf if it’s super hot out. Wear a thin chiffon or breathable cotton or jersey scarf. It definitely helps keeping cool easier. Or if you know it’s going to be a particularly hot day, stick your scarf in the freezer the night before😂😂😂 seriously! And definitely probably not smart to wear a volumizer or underscarf. Just gotta find what works for you. I’ve even sat in the backyard for a few minutes with a few different styles or layers to see how each fabric would act.

My mother makes me feel horrible for it, my aunts and uncles don't like it my cousins just don't understand and my grandmother despises it. She makes me feel so worthless sometimes I just have to say my salah to calm myself and try not to argue. I'm not allowed to wear hijab when I'm alone or out with friends. Only with my mother and older Muslims in my community who bring me to halaqas. It really saddens my soul but I know someday it'll be my choice and I pray Allah (swt) rewards me, hijab is everything to me ❀❀ it makes me want to live and thrive. Unfortunately in my life it can sometimes be the one thing that makes me want to die because my family beats me down about it. I'm alone in hijab. But alhamdulillah I'm never alone with Allah.

I had fallen in love with niqaab and being covered when I first converted, but since I had yet to tell anyone I never put it on. In fact I have hid my faith and it’s had horrible effects on my iman. But I have been wanting to get married and start a life with someone, and I want to do that with someone who shares my faith. But I also want them to be good. And I remember reading somewhere Allah swt will only give a good Muslim partner to someone who is also a good Muslim. And to me that means wearing hijab and maintaining the prayers as best I can. Inshallah, Allah swt will place someone suitable for me in my life. After telling my mum, I went and bought a good selection of scarves and have been trying to figure out how to wear them in a way that I’d feel comfortable leaving the house in. And it’s so hard. For so long I hid my faith until it became so little there was almost nothing to hide. And I’m trying to build it up again. One of the reasons why we are to wear the hijab is to be recognized as Muslim women, of someone of faith. So I’ve had this real disconnect lately with my iman being so low. And suddenly having to show the world that yes I’m Muslim. It’s honestly kind of scary. I already feel so alone, what will happen when I put it on? I know my concerns are connected to the dunya and I should worry about the afterlife not the opinions of everyone. Thank you for this encouraging video. It’s lessened my burden some. Jazaakallahukhair.

      assalamu alaykum dear sister.
i hope your reading this even though you postet your comment a while ago. Just wanted to let you know that i feel you 100%. I'm at a point of my life where I -again- chose Islam and chose to learn and be a good muslim. But i'm not ready yet to show it the non-muslim world and my family, who knows im muslim but its always like the elefant in the room no one talks about. ... Has anything changed since your comment? How are you? Did you put on Hijab?

This is inspiring thank you so much, I have been thinking about putting hijab on since freshman/sophomore year of high school and I am in my first semester of college now and I just want to put it on however I am not perfect in my character. I am not the most amazing daughter or sister. I have a lot to learn and don’t know too much. I am also worried about how my school mates who knew me in high school will think of me. How my neighbors and local people view me. But this helped me out so thank you a lot.

im 20 years old, living in Palestine, married and have a 1 year old baby. everytime anyone asked me about me putting the hijab on one day I would always tell them inshallah, but it wouldn't mean anything. I never thought that I would want to wear hijab until I was significantly older. subhnallah, I've been thinking of doing it a lot lately and with the month of ramadan, I feel I've grown closer to Allah and my dean. Im consistent with my prayers, I read my Quran more often and I fast hamdillah. I really want to get ready this eid and just wear a hijab. I'm very scared but excited at the same time. my husband and father support me 100%. I live with my in-laws and they all wear hijab. however, my mom and my younger sisters don't even though they are muslim and they pray and fast and do just as much as I do, they dont wear hijab, and they dont live with me here in Palestine. I'm scared of being the one who stands out in my family. but after watching this video, its a good thing. wearing the hijab is a good thing, and maybe if I start wearing it will inspire my mom and sisters to become closer to god and wear hijab too. I think I'm finally at the point in my life where this is something I want and something I decided on my own without pressure from anyone. thank u for the video! inshallah this eid I will surprise everyone with a hijab, and its scary but a good kind of scary, this is gonna change a lot of things and its going to take some time to get used to it but I'm so happy and excited!

Hey there, just wanted to share my niqab story which was so unplanned.
We had a niqab at home, which mom had bought with the intention of wearing it, but i ended up wearing it 😅
I had been following a lot of niqabis on social media, and started loving the idea of wearing the niqab. But didn't have the courage, i am so sensitive and aware of everyone's opinion, especially my friends, so i just put the niqab away and went on with my life.
However one of my Buddhist friends questioned me on the difference between the niqab and burqa. I had no idea, so i googled it, and sent her that the niqab has an eye opening, and burqa is full coverage.
Then i remembered that i had a niqab, so i sent her a pic of me wearing it.
She literally asked me when I'd start wearing it? And i was so shocked I asked her, whether she'd see me differently,
She proceeded to send me a huge text on how that would not affect our friendship whatsoever and to go ahead.
So I wore it the next day for uni classes, everyone was shocked, but not belittling Alhamdulillah. They were inquisitive, coz I only wore hijab the day prior.
They wanted to know why I changed overnight literally. Eventhough it was something I wanted to do for a long time.
Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for me, no one judged me or rejected me, i was so happy and feeling over the moon!
From then, it has been one year, and I'm loving it most of the time, sometimes i do feel like removing it in front of cousins who aren't mahram, but I don't and remember the reason I wore it.
The hard part was dealing with my relatives, they laugh and mock me at times, we are all Muslim from birth btw, which is why I never understand why they behave in that manner. I dread visiting their place, and I should mentally prepare myself for their comments, but Alhamdulillah I've gotten used to it. And I'm glad I've got an understanding family and friends!
Moral of the story : just go for it! With the right intention it will be easy for you guys insha Allah!
Btw I also prayed two rakah before going for uni classes wearing niqab for the first time, asking Allah to make me consistent with my good deeds!
    Hope this inspired someone ❀

I hear from a lot of hijabis that they have to deal with daily insults and sometimes attacks. I feel like that the hijab would lost it purpose in such situations, because it would have exactly the opposite effect. I actually never saw a hijabi outside alone where I live, when it was dark. 1st question and i'm already relating lol I put hijab on like 2 weeks ago and like you said my family kinda accepts that im a muslim(note they dont constantly yell at me anymore that i'm getting manipulated but still hate it) but as my mom figured I wear hijab in school she got sooo upset, she literally thinks I will pack my stuff and go to afghanistan or something,I literally have no clue what to expect from them,I don't even talk to my dad because he's so hatefull and literally told me I can't pray in the house and he doesn't even live there o.O No idea really how to make them understand,it's hurting me so badly because my mom told me they're open minded but as soon as i get serious about it they're like nah not my daughter nope not happening ur not muslim ugh It's especially hard because I don't really know any other muslims in my country(there's very few) and so I can't really seek for support from them. I really wanna visit a masjid(my country is building one!!!) though but my mom will probably never allow me to go :( I even took shahada alone and told some muslims on net uhh Also same thinking on job,I just had interview and i was struggling to decide whether to wear hijab or not because it might afftect their descision but then i thought if they don't accept me cus im muslim then i dont even want to work there :) (i didn't get the job for other reasons tho) Also only mom knows about that so I'm really worried what everyone else will say when they know O.O especially grandparents who don't even know i'm muslim

It has been 2 years since you wrote this comment about your situation. I hope everything turned out good for you. Remember that it is a test from Allah. You will be rewarded for your endurance & patience, Leona. It's already difficult when the people outside hate on you for being Muslim, but having to experience the same reaction in your own home, by your own family must be tougher. Seek knowledge to strengthen your relationship with Allah, learn about Tawheed even if you think you already know it, learn 'Aqidah, pray on time & make lots of Du'a to Allah to guide you and your family & keep you steadfast on the Truth.
Is the Masjid already finished? Have you found some practicing Muslim sisters to keep in touch with, to socialize and motivate each other?
May Allah guide us & forgive our sins & admit us into Jannatul-Firdaus.

I am not in a safe place to wear one sadly. My dad probably wouldn’t mind but the people I know around me are very hateful. I have been told multiple times that if I “ start dressing like a Muslim” they will hurt me. I plan on wearing one when I leave to go to college and am out of this area.

One of the main reasons I’m scared of starting to wear a hijab is that I don’t imagine myself with a hijab in the future is that weird? I’m scared that I’ll end up stop wearing a hijab

So I don't judge ppl externally but I judge them internally at times and I feel angry with myself for having bad thoughts about them. How do I change the way I see things or think about them?

What I have learned is that your first thoughts are what you've been taught to think, and your next thoughts are what you actually think. Don't put so much pressure on your thoughts. It is your actions that matter.

I'm planning to wear (sins 10 I'm 14) hijab next year InshAllah, so this year I can change my clothes to more modest ones. (lol my whole life I've always been wearing modest clothes, why? family is muslim so it's normal, so it no big deal for me, I'm also training myself psychologically, cause I'm a bit of susceptible person. Telling myself that I'm going to wear it just for Allah)
I cant wait, I have already weared hijab for salat but never outside
update: it's been 3 4 months since i started wearing hijab!!!
