You will have so many wishing you well that there is no need to worry. You earn the maximum of goodwill, and that’s how it will always be. Love you from Denny.

I have an encounter with an aboriginal driver years ago on the road side in the country too. Back then I was driving from Adelaide to Sydney and in middle of the night I pulled out and stop at side of the road for a little nap. Someone knocked on my window to check if I was in trouble and if i needed any help. Well, the Aborigines are truly caring people.

just think about how we in Australia, this blessed country we're fortunate enough to call home, deal with healthcare compared to the US. This small outback hospital which has a wallaby problem (haha) yet has such wonderful staff such as this doctor Tim. All for free. The indigenous man would not be able to afford treatment in the US. He'd be dead now. We are truly a great country and we need to make sure it stays that way.

Robyn thank you for those lovely words. I agree with all of them. This made me cry with joy for the beauty of Australia in all of its amazing parts. Nowhere else in the world perhaps will you find such a generosity of spirit as here. Our health care system surely must be amongst the best in the world - Manuel and so many others would not be alive without Medicare. And yes, the quiet pride and generosity of those three brothers out there in No Mans land who did save Tim's life makes one grateful and proud as well. It's such a shame that we are not all united in these feelings and values. Perhaps one day we will be.

I love this video. Tim reminds me of my husband, an ER physician who was formerly a three year family medicine resident. Ed and Tim have the gift of empathy. It is lovely to see and every physician does not have this gift or the love of adventure and an intrinsic enthusiasm. Good for Tim. Ed died of melanoma but worked up to two weeks before he died. He loved it.

I am too convinced of what you said. I was in the exact same kind of incident. One night, going on a dark foggy road, I was changing station on the radio when all of a sudden I seen the car in front of me and I Instantly swerved the steering wheel. I don't know how but I managed to spin three times on myself and hit the car in front of me in it's side sending it in the ditch. I too flew into the ditch, tumbled three times and finally stopped when I crashed onto a tree. I was upside down, had no seat belt on and I managed to get out of that completely mangled car without a scratch. The guy in front of me didn't have one scratch too. Even the first responders were completely stunned. I've been in another handful of circumstances where I have had the feeling that something above was watching over me. Like the time I fell asleep with a sigarette and was literally on fire. My mother said she heard someone wake her up at 3 am telling her to go downstairs and to check on me, next thing she knows is that she's bashing the flames off of my duvet cover with a pillow.

Australian Story is the bees knees! Brava Tim, Manuel & the three kind souls who ensured that Tim is here to tell his story. I do hope you find them one day. Although I’ve found the Indigenous people I’ve known are both humble & shy. Thanks to all for the changes that have taken place because of this. 👏👏👏

I myself had a near death experience back in the early nineties while surfing in Mexico. Back then Puerto Escondido was a very small town only known to few surfers both local and non. I was traveling, backpacking and hitchhiking with my girlfriend at time through South America. There were some amazing waves that day and a gorgeous blue sky. My friend and I decided to do some surfing while the break was at it's peak. After an hour she decided to head back onto the beach for some sun and I wasn't finished surfing. I caught as many waves as possible and finally decided to go in and join her a few hour's later. The last thing I remember was her yelling at the top of her lungs 'look out behind you". I remember turning around to find a seven footer wave crashing straight down for me. I duck dived but not quick enough and was in the white wash holding my breath as I'm being spun around and pulled towards the rock's. Finally I was able to surface for some air but luck wasn't on my side as another monster wave took me out. I remember my life flashing before me, a white light and photos of my childhood /family before my eye's. I knew I was done for and that I would never see anyone I loved again and vice versa. Then I'm awake on the beach with my friend who happened to be a nurse giving me CPR along with an older local man and his elderly dog. They saved my life and I had indeed hit the rock wall with my head which gave me one nasty concussion along with a few open head wounds. There was no hospital there or anywhere close so I owe my life to them and I have never been able to locate the man who saved my life that day. He was extremely brave enough to jump in and drag me back to the beach risking his own life without hesitation. I was already enrolled in school back home for Veterinary Medicine and I remember how much his dog eased my fear and anxiety. I finished school and donate my time not only back here in Canada but Mexico and South America as well whenever possible. I had known when I was 6 year's old that I would dedicate my love and life to Veterinary ER medicine. However because of that brave 'unknown' man and his dog I had and have dedicated to donating my time and skills in Mexico. I just wish he would have left his name at least with my friend when she asked that day. Where ever you are Sir I want you to know that I thank you everyday and think of you often. 🙏 🌊 💙
