    This mention might be a little late for some of us but when I purchased the secret(black/white),I also got the blue iridium tinted visor that didn't close easy as it should.
    I figured out the problem. There is a screw on the lip of the visor that holds D clasp. I simply loosened the screw and moved the clasp closer to the edge of the lip before tighten back. In other words I matched it up like it was placed on the clear visor.
    It closes and locks after all that.

    I just got the K6, my head is 59 centimeters, I got the large helmet, it seems like it fits perfectly but I’m reading I should have got the medium large, is it safe to go one size up ? Just seems like it fits me perfect I’m scared to send it back and get a size smaller and it be to tight even though I’m 59 centimeters…

    • @joeltnguyen
      @joeltnguyen  Před 2 lety

      As long as your helmet does not shift. If you can rotate your helmet that is a bad indicator it does not fit. Now your helmet can move WITH your skin, that should be fine as long as it's not shifting and moving freely

    Hey mate, thanks so much for the glasses part! Was wondering if it is true to size? I saw someone say it runs a size small and I'm ordering one at the end of this month so i was wondering if i should order my normal size or size up?

    • @joeltnguyen
      @joeltnguyen  Před rokem

      If you go on the website, you can see what circumference fits your head. I always recommend trying helmets on in person, but of course you might not have a store nearby.
      If you're switching brands, definitely remeasure your helmet size before purchasing and referencing the size chart.
      I would say the helmet sizing is accurate but again, remeasure and compare with the sizing chart.
      Also buy from a reputable dealer and/or the agv website.

  • @kevinlam2033

    I had an agv helmet. Worked pretty well for me and I loved it. Unfortunately my head is a bit wide so it caused pressure on the side of my head. Just something for people to consider if they are purchasing it!

      Patryk M. Honestly, I didn’t like the sun visor. It didn’t work for me and it fogged up. I rather have a tinted visor! But it’s really preference. I didn’t use the sun visor at all with the k3 sv misano

    Hello Joel!
    First of all thank you for the review!
    Second-hand, what exactly was wrong with your latch on the AGV K6?
    On my personal K6, sometimes, if I press the button a bit sideways, it does not come back to the original position. Did you have the same poblem? If so, the dealer recomended to replace the helmet?
    Thank you in advance for your response!

    • @joeltnguyen
      @joeltnguyen  Před 3 lety +1

      There are two screws that hold the front piece from the inside. One stripped off and fell which made the piece holding the latch defective. I would check if you’re missing a screw on the inside. If not, there’s a screw on your visor that you can loosen and adjust

    Hey thanks for the details. I'm thinking between this and HJC Rpha 90s, what's your suggestion. I know its not an exact comparison as HJC is a modular.

    • @joeltnguyen
      @joeltnguyen  Před 3 lety +1

      So I would ask yourself this. What kind of riding are you doing? Touring? City/sport bike?
      I would personally never get a modular helmet unless I was going on a touring ride. I mainly ride a sport bike around the city so I went with the AGV k6. I'm a little biased since I have been wearing the K6 but honestly have no complaints so far!
      Modular is better for touring (constant stopping and going, drinking water, eating, etc without having to take your helmet off all the time)
      K6 for your enthusiast rider whether touring, city riding, etc. If you don't need a modular helmet I wouldn't get one!

Let me warn you though that it is extremely dark at night and under no circumstance should you have it on at night. This applies to the tinted visor as well but maybe not as dark.
