In the interest of contributing something different than "I'm x level and I can/can't do that" I think what this video demonstrates is the high level of nuance in car/ball control. I have a 1700+ GC friend and I can say with all certainty that watching his mechanics in free play is infinitely more demonstrative of his level of car/ball control than game play. It's been most helpful to me to see what my friend is doing in free play and try to emulate it, as it's more about stringing mechanics together, rather than just hitting one nutty shot. Just my 2¢. I havent even touched ranked outside of rumble for fun. I only have 24 hours in RL. Ive been aggressively practicing my mechanics whenever I have the chance in FP. I accidentally learned how to flip reset while practicing in aerial shot training. Cant apply it in an actual game but my aerials have improved exponentially. I genuinely enjoy this game especially cause you can not only see, but feel yourself getting better little by little my aim is platinum by the end of this year and to be able to consistently hit dribble flicks
been playin rl for a month, no online, just training, and i entered ranked (i was unranked) for the first time a couple days ago to see how i was in preperation for the season coming up, and managed to pull off an air dribble on a dude edit: forgot to mention im in silver 3 now and im doing alot of flicks and ceiling shots as theyre (in my opinion) the easiest to master compared to the others. I'm in the midst of tryna learn how to consistently do redirects and double touches, air dribbles next
I'm not bragging, I know very well how bad I am, but since I couldn't rank up and i just kept losing, I spent hours in training as a gold, grinding new Freestyle mechanics, from air dribble, ceiling shots, flip resets, double taps, and even flicks. I finally managed to solo que my may to d1, and I still grind mechanics, and I'm happy with this. These days I'm trying musty ceiling shots, which are super fun, flip resets to double taps, and a few others. Again, I'm not bragging, I'm absolute garbage in actual gameplay, but practicing tough mechanics and showing them off in low gameplay casual made me not quit rocket league lol
you don't need to hit all of your ceiling shots, pinches and have the best air control to be diamond, if you've good positions, good teammates and some basics mechanics you don't have to worry about this special moves
I know this is a few years too late but that "celebration pause" in my experience is someone taking a gameclip. The action of spamming the controller while saying "OMG" "OMG" "What a Save!" and of course getting the clip secured and put into the vault

This video intro just made me feel bad and stop watching. I haven’t really hit any ceiling shots. But I do score occasional air dribbles or fast paste double touches. I usually win match’s cuz I’m pretty good at 50/50 and I’m pretty quick. C2 here Flip resets and ceiling shots(the ones where you hold onto your flip and mess around) seem a step up. I usually practice the “ultimate warmup” the redirect pack by Poquito And “Deevo”

Literally waited all video wondering when he was gonna say “jk they are all GC, just different levels”
I think that's true for 9:34, looks like champ goal explosion to me shown for a D3 in the video
@@503geek8 D3 with champ explosion is very common. C1 players who get shitty teammates who then get demoted. I was like that, I just recently got c2 after being paired with teammates who leave after first goal.
When I was a silver I did an aerial redirect almost to the ceiling... right into my own net 😂😂😂
Andrew Smitley i just laughed out loud

There’s no evidence that it’s not, but there’s also none saying it was him/her
Dan Griffiths well it said gold 3 and he said he’s gold 2 so ?
FROST ABZML it’s bronze 3...
Wait... where is the Jon Sandman level of mechanics???
I will submit my name to be part of that level too. A level for 30+ year-old guys that are trying their best. ;)
There's pro then Jon sandman, then Sizz

You should do this video again this year :)

that's sad i'm the same rank and i'm hitting flip resets

The champ whiff made me laugh so hard 😭
I still remember my most insane save was one of the first times I ever played the game.
But I've never practiced my car control, nor my dribbles. I only play of my game sense and rotation.
Well, looks like my mindset somehow got me to C3... because I can't pull off some of the stuff shown in level 1 mechanics... 😅😂
this video is just a giant bruh moment
Platinums in this video:Scoring double taps, air dribbles, redirects, pinches

That is just as funny as:
DEEZ NUTZ!!! HAHH; GOTEM!
I have something wholesome to say
Most people think that you are defined by your rank but that is wrong
The only thing that defines how good you are is your willingness to persevere and rise to the occasions when you have the chance. Don’t call yourself bad if your a low level
You are so much better than a gc if you’re prepared for the road ahead and they’re not
If you’re ready then your time will come
Peace ✌️
Edit: yeet
I’m currently trying to get ranked right now, my friends carried me to plat 3 but I’m interested in where my skills are, I played a few ranked games yesterday and for some reason it put me against bronze 1’S, that was painful I felt like a god even though I’m a scrub

I recommend you do one of these for 2020, really fun to watch and just entertaining in general.
You need to realise there is such things as Smurf’s.
You need to realise that we're actually good. What're you bronze?
Tay • 19 years ago lmao I have been loving your content, I am plat 2 div 1 but yeah whatever
@@Trajiq there's such thing as practice too
Im gold and im defently not a smurf and i can pull celling shots and air dribbles it just the fact that we play a lot of training and less comps because when i started i was realy afraid to lose so i was realy not playing comps too much still i can pull insane shots the rank doesnt mean shit
@@scope7685 it does
I thought for a moment that he said "It inspired me to suck more rocket league!" like wtf...
You wouldn't get 😒

"I would say the goalie was decent"
I havent even touched ranked outside of rumble for fun. I only have 24 hours in RL. Ive been aggressively practicing my mechanics whenever I have the chance in FP. I accidentally learned how to flip reset while practicing in aerial shot training. Cant apply it in an actual game but my aerials have improved exponentially. I genuinely enjoy this game especially cause you can not only see, but feel yourself getting better little by little my aim is platinum by the end of this year and to be able to consistently hit dribble flicks
This could be a thesis presentation for RL college. Congrats Dr Khan, now all you need is one of those poofy hats.
You mean topper right
@@SunlessKhan only topper I rock is a shark fin on my ripper.
9:36 has chasms goal explosion in diamond.......ok
Pixxv probably got gc in rumble or something
SpringTingaling Honour for him for his GC in rumble but Diamond in everything else
Diamond 3
been playin rl for a month, no online, just training, and i entered ranked (i was unranked) for the first time a couple days ago to see how i was in preperation for the season coming up, and managed to pull off an air dribble on a dude
edit: forgot to mention im in silver 3 now and im doing alot of flicks and ceiling shots as theyre (in my opinion) the easiest to master compared to the others. I'm in the midst of tryna learn how to consistently do redirects and double touches, air dribbles next
Dude frickin train me lol
If you are in silver you need to train your game sense and positioning, not some easy to defend mechanics.
This is my favorite video on all of rocket league thx man
9:33 - "Diamond" hits a flick but has a grand champ goal explosion?
That's Champ explosion though
Rumble and that’s a champ explosion
PJ Krolak probs just hit diamond and he did his placement matches
pov: these are the ppl you play against in ranked
I still dont know what intro you have and why is that girl "moaning"
Why not have a girl moaning. He doesn't get demonetised 🤷♂️
da fuck?
@@veqr7266 lmao
When I'm D3 OCE and I never even see level 1 or can even do level 1 myself xDDD
Ayyyy OCE represent 🇦🇺
Im this early by absolute luck.
When you're D1 but a level one: ;-;
you don't need to hit all of your ceiling shots, pinches and have the best air control to be diamond, if you've good positions, good teammates and some basics mechanics you don't have to worry about this special moves
I know this is a few years too late but that "celebration pause" in my experience is someone taking a gameclip. The action of spamming the controller while saying "OMG" "OMG" "What a Save!" and of course getting the clip secured and put into the vault
All my friends play online and i cant because my ping is 800 so i only play offline woth bots and training and they are always doing comp while i practice stuff so even tho i have no rank i have learned to hit flip resets and air dribbles and ceiling shots and a bunch of flicks so i am better than them with car control even tho i havent played a single online match on my xbox
U probably get plat or diamond since u don't have the experience of playing against other players
@@gunter6377 Yup, thats because bots can't rotate so I'm ballchasing the whole time or playing overly passive
This video intro just made me feel bad and stop watching. I haven’t really hit any ceiling shots. But I do score occasional air dribbles or fast paste double touches. I usually win match’s cuz I’m pretty good at 50/50 and I’m pretty quick. C2 here
Flip resets and ceiling shots(the ones where you hold onto your flip and mess around) seem a step up.
I usually practice the “ultimate warmup” the redirect pack by Poquito
And “Deevo”
