  • This is the location set for the Japanese masterpiece ``Twenty-Four Eyes,'' which was made into a movie in 1954 and has since been remade many times. The 1950s is said to be the golden age of Japanese cinema, and there is a building where some of his works are exhibited in galleries, the author Tsuboi Sakae Literary Museum, a mini-theater, and a Book Café that focuses on movies and art. The view of the Harima Sea from the wooden school building is wonderful. Additionally, the nostalgic atmosphere of the Showa era in the village is interesting in the sense of learning about life in the past in Japan, and works from the Setouchi Triennale are also on display, which can be enjoyed in the categories of movies, literature, and art. A new gallery officially recognized by Kaiyodo, the largest figure manufacturer, has been opened in the village, which is still used in movies, dramas, and commercials. It has gained popularity as a facility in Setouchi where you can experience Japanese culture.
